  1. It might have nothing to do with your process or your tank. It could be the fact that torch corals are hard to keep. Watch this recent video (made for you?!)
  2. If you are south sometime, stop by and I'll give you a head or two of hammer coral that has been in captivity for years...
  3. PS. Without knowing if it truly works as advertised, I dose KZ LPS amino acids. Have for years and seems to work for me and my LPS. what? decadal memory in corals? I found this https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s00227-014-2596-2
  4. I keep several Euphyllia but not torch coral per se. Most of mine are from hobbyist-cultured stock; some of which have been in the hobby for close to two decades. I keep water parameters so my acros are happy and euphyllia (and everything else) are along for the ride. They are doing well up high, down low, all with moderate to fast current. I do spot feed with Coral Frenzy every month or so. So my advice is to find stock that has been grown in captivity and spot feed.
  5. OK. I'll let you know if I'm headed north. Thanks.
  6. Headed south anytime? Interested in the whole piece
  7. Probably, do you still have some? I don't...
  8. Wow, how long have you had her or pair?
  9. Favia or Micromussa. How's it doing now?
  10. Show a pic once it opens up and has some color. Might be a gem!
  11. I don't currently but I've seen healthy tanks with multiple leathers together. Try feeding directly with Reefroids or the like. Run carbon.
  12. Sorry to hear Don. I've puzzled over similar events (not all SPS but some) in my tank; I'm a lot more careful about what is on my skin (soap, sunscreen, etc.) before I do tank maintenance. Any chance of chemical additions?
  13. Looks great! So how many peppermint shrimp did it take to "eradicate" aiptasia?
  14. Impressive build. Looking forward to seeing it in place.
  15. Gives more room for acros to grow. Well done.
  16. yeah exactly what means of circulation do you provide for your corals? and lighting?
  17. here's a question: how do you pronounce "Acropora"? a crop or a or acro por a or ? welcome!
  18. Looking for live rotifers/culture starter. Any advice? locations? reefers?

I was really confused, for a second or 4, about why you were going to a river before buying something on Amazon. Then I was all like ooohhhhhhhhh....

Boy, Belinda is so glad we don't live close to Cabela's. Don't tell her, but Bass Pro Shops is planning on a Georgetown store. Lol If you break off any sps frags in the move, LMK.

Oh I broke down the 72 a couple of months ago in prep for the move. I have a few corals in safe keeping in Kyle and Houston. Thanks for the offer on new frags!! Ouch my back hurts...

  22. Sorry to hear about your 47 but on to bigger and better and I think I warned you about the GSP. If not, watch out it can take over! JK. I have a 72 bowfront and won't have another for a reef. Freshwater ok but cleaning coralline from a curved glass surface only leads to scratches... PS. One dimension of a cube needs to fit through a door!
