There are two acro crabs in this colony. It was fun trying to get the right angle -- 49 other angles didn't work out! While in this position he was rubbing back and forth applying pressure to his back, rubbing the coral -- I think it's to maintain a alley way within the colony. I've noticed the structure within other colonies as well. -

I just use a scalpel and/or razor blade depending on the size of the frag. A hammer might be involved as well to tap the razor blade through the last stony part. And if there is a nice overhanging ledge of tissue I use a good set of stainless scissors and start cutting but you can get smaller pieces that way. BBM or BGM?

I've got several morphs too if you want to swing by some time. I'd have to make fresh cuts for most.

Besides, 10 g. is too small for either of those fish, IMO.

I wouldn't risk anything along with a lionfish (of any kind) considering 1) the bioload of a fish of that nature (messy, aggressive, etc.) and 2) the size of the tank. What kind of filtration are you running?

I personally think 24" is too far away for the stunners. I raised mine up to two feet, disconnected the white and UV -- not much penetration or color but just a little radiant glow from a green polyp acro and a green candycane. Wasn't impressive IMO at 24. Mark, stunners are on a DIY all-in-one acrylic nano, 3.5 g, in my son's room.

I made my own reflector and mounted three stunners together -- one 403 (almost UV), one blue, and one 8k. They rest about two inches off the water surface of a 3.5 g nano. Growing SPS! I'd like another wallwart to control the white but that's another $25 or so. Love 'em.

I just add salt to my sump over a few days. half to a full cup each day for a 72. In your 120 I think you could do more. Your swing arm could be way off too so maybe you can borrow a refractometer for a week.

Do yo have pics Christian? It's possible for the healthy tissue to re-cover the "dead" areas, if its really dead. Shoot me a PM if you need some help figuring out what's going on.
