  1. Whateves! We're the awesome part of this thread! Srsly, glad you got it fixed Rob and yeah, be sure to mention who it was.
  2. That looks like a real reef tank. Only smaller.
  3. And grew some more hair! wait for it... WINNING!
  4. I like swag! Have the mothership contact St Arnold and see what they can do about getting a cask conditioned Pumpkinator delivered to BB just for the festivities.
  5. GREAT job on the stand. Looks like you could make stands, and other furniture, for a living! As far as the dual drains go, if you want to, go for it. Nothing wrong with more turn over but don't use that for in the tank flow.

  7. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1658490&highlight=minimalist+aquascape 51 pages of glory!
  8. I use a Buckeye Field Supply 75GPD Premier system under my sink. I run the output line to a 24g(I think) Rubbermaid tub that I got at Home Deopt, aka BORG. I mix my SW in that with a Maxijet 1200. When I need to transfer it to my DT, I stick a hose on the end of the MJ and pump it into the DT.
  9. I imagine if you have enough suction cups, space, and help, you can get it placed with minimal effort. Is it going to be placed on the stand while the house is still being built? If so, that may provide the space requirement. And I'm sure you can get some of the construction workers to move it for you for a decent price. Provide the suction cups + food/drinks=success!
  10. Are they delivering to you or are you picking it up at a show somewhere?
  11. @Victoly: That's awesome! @Jucieman: sounds like a potential candidate. Lemme see!
  12. @Victoly: no gif for this thread?!
  13. Something red sounds nice, despite the RBTA which have moved rearward and are less visible, even though purple is my favorite color. I had success in the past with a monti cap, when everything was in my 58, so I imagine it would work. I've always wanted a pink birdsnest too. Any others?
  14. Me too, but man does she get mean! They are laying eggs about every 3 weeks, with the occasional breaks of a month. It's been going on for about a year now.
  15. Holy cow! Almost a year since the last update. Hrmmm, what's happened in time since? New lamps, new RODI filters, general maintenance, fish added and bullied to death, lost my clams to a polyclad flatworm. Current livestock list: Fish: Sailfin Clarki pair royal gramma x2 starry blenny blue-green chromis melanarus wrasse Inverts: RBTAs 2 halloween hermits 1 blue leg hermit some snails 3 emerald crabs Corals: GSP anthelia 1 toadstool 1 frogspwan 1 hammer orange/blue rics green/blue rics blue rics 1 Trachyphillia eagle eye zoas some blue zoas some green zoas (radioactive dragon eyes?) some other green zoas (green bay packers?) some orange zoas some green/red zoas (whamn watermelons?) some greenish-blue palys My RBTA split 3 times, so now I have 4. The biggest is about 4in in diameter. I took my emeralds out, cause I thought they were eating zoas, and put them in the fuge for a month or two. While they were out, I discovered that it was asterinas eating the zoas. So, any asterinas I find on my zoas or the rock they are on get pulled out. It seems that only the black/cream colored asterinas eat the zoas. The solid cream colored ones stay away. The emeralds got added back and I've not seen any issues. I added my GFO/GAC reactor back. It's been off for a few weeks, up until about a week ago maybe two, and since then I've developed a coating of hairy algae on the back wall and the return. I've also noticed a lime green algae forming in low flow areas. I plan on getting a CUC and seeing what that does for the algae. About 2 weeks ago, when I added the reactor back, the power supply for my MP40 died. Since then, I've been using a Coralife CP1300 I got from the Fish Gallery folks for flow and it's been fine. I've got a new PS due in tomorrow. FTS from tonight:
  16. At the top of my 75, I have a bare rock that needs something on it. It gets a decent amount of flow and lots of light. I know this sounds like a perfect recipe for SPS but I've never had success with SPS. I'm not opposed to trying again but it has to be the right kind. I tend to run nutrient rich, not like Patrick but moreso than the average SPS tank I'm guessing. I've gotten better about my maintenance at least. Other inhabitants include RBTAs, anthelia, GSP, zoas, rics, frogspawn, hammer, palys, a toadstool, and fish. The GSP, anthelia, and RBTAs are in the top part of the tank where the nekkid rock is and in line of the majority of flow before the NR. Lemme hear your thoughts ARC! I'll see about getting a FTS up to show the NR.
  17. Sweet! And congrats! The only complaint I've read about the Glasscages tanks has been semi-sloppy silicone work and poor customer service. Can't wait to see your build come together.
