  1. Well, now we know how Clint affords all those fancy colored sticks.
  2. I used the Quikrete sand(not the play sand, this was in a brown bag with green/black lettering), rinsed well, in my FW tanks. Really liked the way it looked, it's tan and looks very natural.
  3. Looking good! Too bad it can't be in your office.
  4. Any place in town with Dr. Tim's stuff?

I ordered One & Only through Amazon Prime.

  5. One thing about food, although I'm glad you have your issue under control. If the food contains animal products, it will have phosphates in it. Maybe not added P04, but it will have P04.
  6. Late to the party but... Happy Birfday Main!
  7. Apparently, Clint has an active imagination as well Had no idea; just giving grief.
  8. I can't imagine the amount of grief I would have to take if I spent $200 on a frag. Obviously, Clint, being a single man, doesnt have to deal with that I suppose.
  9. You coulda got 3.5 inches at that price! Wait. That didn't come out right.
  10. Cough *Photoshop* cough Looks great!
  11. Keeping GSP only requires that you want it to take over your tank. Fish wont mess with it IME. As far as inverts with puffers and triggers goes, I think you'll wind up losing all the inverts eventually. I think Michael Scott's book on fish suggests adding inverts first for best chances.
  12. I think Patrick hit on something with the lack of filtration. Those landscape rocks are very dense and as a result have low surface area for bacteria to colonize. I'd get more real ocean rock as soon as possible.
  13. I mix my water in a Rubbermaid 20g tub right next to the tank. I set it out a day or two before I want to do my water change, fill it full of RODI, add salt, and mix. If you can get a RODI unit you can attach it to washer water supply, and get a piece of tubing long enough to get to your mixing area. The dirty water drain tubing right into the washer drain line. I use a Maxijet 1200 for mixing. The pump heats the water enough on its own. I use some clear tubing attached to the output end of the pump to add the water into the main tank. For draining the tank, I picked up a 25ft length of tubing at Home Depot that fit the gravel vac perfectly. I drain into the tub.
  14. Anyone ever use one of the $130 ish, Ebay LED fixtures?

My corals love them! I always swore I would never go LED, but I had to fall back on one when smoke got out of one of the halides. I am seeing some very nice growth under them. And you can't beat them for the price. I know folks who are running Sol's who have dumped them for the reefbreeders fixtures because they got better growth.

I think I will try one over the frag tank I am building. Its 36x24 so it should work perfect.

I'm running two over my 5' frag tank full of zoas and chalices. And they are crazy for it. Picking up two more next weekend for another tank, and I've already got a single for the new wrasse tank.

  15. Also, did you buy this locally? I was just looking at the website and the tanks look nice.
  16. Holy cow that's a long tank! What stuff are you going to put in there?
  17. Fixed that last post for ya Bio!
  18. What kind of upkeep do you put into the system?
  19. Clarki eggs hatching! Scooped some up and dropped in fuge.
