  1. Anyone got, or know of, a nice, cheap 6ft long (preferably 180) tank/stand for sale?

      What did you work out?

Still looking. All the livestock is in tubs and, so far, doing fine.

Can we get a FTS? Full tub shot? At least you got an excuse for an upgrade now!

  2. May the Fourth be with you! And on that note, my Jedi Mind Trick (from Clint no less) that I was worried was gone started showing polyps again!

I think I forgot to charge you for that frag. When can I come collect?

Heh. Not much to look at now but once it comes all the way back and you want a frag...

  3. James; I'll drop by next Friday and have words with them.
  4. I bought these guys off Live Aquaria a the beginning of March. They went into the 20g at the same time but only just recently caught up with each other. Two days ago they were pretty much right in front but, due to my bragging about it, they moved to the side and towards the back of the tank. Sorry for the crappy pic. Had to use the cell phone and add some sharpening.
  5. My pistol shrimp and high finned goby paired up after being in the tank together for 3-4 weeks! And in the front of the tank!!

That's my line! I'll see what I can do.

Of course, since I bragged, they moved to the back. Still got a pic though.

Mine seem to have a vast network of tunnels and move front, back, side to side constantly. I think it's neat.

Home Depot is very helpful with those kind of installs/repairs!

  7. Anyone using those Cree light bulbs? Thoughts?

They're good. Turn on instantly and the color options are great. I have not used them on a dimmer but wouldn't even consider using CFL's again.

Thanks. Did you get the 2700 or 5000K one?

We did 5000K's, as we thought the 2700's were just too warm. I know the 2700 is closer to a normal incandescent if you prefer that color. Home depot had a demo display setup at one time, not sure if they still have them but there's a pretty big difference in color.

  8. I moved this to increase the visibility. I had the pleasure of meeting Tim a few times over the years and feel sorry for his family. He was a really nice guy. Tim: GIMME! RIP Tim.
  9. Is Ty having a Black Friday sale tomorrow?

I heard that he has trained his corals to grow in the shape of his business card and is going to be giving them away.

Nice no show Robb. I even went to the meeting. Heck, Jake even made it ;)

I was planning to but forgot about it until 2:50.

  10. Nice! Good to meet you and Mrs. Madsalt as well.
  11. Well, in a fit of spontaneity, I ordered from Live Aquaria yesterday. Grabbed 2 pajama cardinals, a tailspot blenny (all of which I would love to have in the 75 but it's too late to add them at this point) and a high fin red banded goby ( http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+31+181&pcatid=181) and a red banded pistol shrimp (http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=497+525+704&pcatid=704). Hopefully, all will be well. I'd like to add a green clown goby as well.
  12. I've got some Ponape birds nest frags still. Also have a small, single orange ric and and few small mixed zoas I'd sell for $5. The birds nest is mounted but the ric and zoas aren't. The zoas are a mix of, I believe, radioactive dragons eyes and green bay packers.
  13. Wish those basslets weren't so expensive.
  14. Nicely done. Any concern on the drivers being so close to the MH and them getting roasted?
  15. Looking for ideas on what to put into the 20g long. We want something 'different'. My initial thought was an angler but I think only having 1 fish would be too boring. Next thought was 3-5 small fish; tailspot, clown goby, maybe a shrimp/goby combo, maybe some cardinals. I'm probably not going to run a skimmer (can't find an in tank one either works with my light setup, ie light limits vertical height, or the HOB ones are too big) so I can't stock too heavily. Gimme some ideas y'all.
  16. Mini ARC meeting at Pluckers tonight.

Woohoo, everyone bring a black bag with a mystery coral in it and we'll all swap!

Which Pluckers? And before or after RCA?

  17. Up for sale is this beautiful chunk of live rock. It's covered in Texas trash palys on the top and a crap ton of red mushrooms on the back. It's about 20lbs and has been in my tank for a few years. It's roughly toadstool shaped but won't stand up on it's own. I'm about to break down my office tank and need to make some space at home for the office tank rock. $60 obo
  18. Anyone have a .110 female spade connector I could buy?

Radioshack, home depot, or lowes has them. The lowes shielded ones are some weird proprietary size though.

Forgot about Radioshack. Thanks, looks like they have it. HD didn't.

  19. Start here: http://www.chucksaddiction.com/hitchhikers.html Then try Wet Web Media. Looks like a sponge to me.
  20. Try Fish Gallery, think I saw a Reeflo product there. Heck, try all the LFS who are sponsors.
