Ebay is working although it's not the Bosch brand.

  9. The latest FTS! Ok. The REAL last FTS. 4/14/14 Yesterday, 5/9/14, I got a call from SWMBO that she found water on the floor by the tank. No biggie, sometimes Mama Clown or others will splash water onto the floor when feeding. Ha! Woke up today and found more water on the floor. About a pint. Oops. Initially we thought it was the FW tank but, after a few minutes of digging, we found a leak coming from the bottom front seal of the tank. Moved all the livestock to 3 Rubbermaid tubs. The giant rock of palys and another with em growing on it are in the tub with the lid on it. I won't shed a tear if they all die off. I did move some stuff to the 20g due to space issues in the tubs. The hunt has begun for the replacement. Looking for something in the 6ft/180g size.
  10. Anyone got, or know of, a nice, cheap 6ft long (preferably 180) tank/stand for sale?

Can we get a FTS? Full tub shot? At least you got an excuse for an upgrade now!

  11. May the Fourth be with you! And on that note, my Jedi Mind Trick (from Clint no less) that I was worried was gone started showing polyps again!

Heh. Not much to look at now but once it comes all the way back and you want a frag...

  12. My pistol shrimp and high finned goby paired up after being in the tank together for 3-4 weeks! And in the front of the tank!!

Mine seem to have a vast network of tunnels and move front, back, side to side constantly. I think it's neat.

They're good. Turn on instantly and the color options are great. I have not used them on a dimmer but wouldn't even consider using CFL's again.

Thanks. Did you get the 2700 or 5000K one?

    4. jestep

      jestep

We did 5000K's, as we thought the 2700's were just too warm. I know the 2700 is closer to a normal incandescent if you prefer that color. Home depot had a demo display setup at one time, not sure if they still have them but there's a pretty big difference in color.

  15. I moved this to increase the visibility. I had the pleasure of meeting Tim a few times over the years and feel sorry for his family. He was a really nice guy. Tim: GIMME! RIP Tim.

  18. Anyone have a .110 female spade connector I could buy?

Radioshack, home depot, or lowes has them. The lowes shielded ones are some weird proprietary size though.

    2. Robb in Austin

      Robb in Austin

Forgot about Radioshack. Thanks, looks like they have it. HD didn't.

  19. There was a giant thread about this but I can't seem to find it anymore. (We finally learned about Unbranded Butter and I felt I could then die peacefully.) If anyone is able to, PM me the link and I'll merge the two threads.
  20. Thanks yall. @Grog; that started as a little chunk of rock with about 20 polyps on it, probably half and half of each type. I had a orange sized rock covered in those ones with the yellow centers that I lost so when I saw that rock at RCA I jumped on it in trade. @James; yeah, we've been pretty pleased with the growth. @Lorien; me too. Too often, IMO, once a build is done we tend to forget about it. I always enjoy updates so I try to keep up with mine. Obviously, I'm not doing a great job.
  21. Wow. I gotta get over these yearly updates. Pics! FTS Jedi Mind Trick. From Clint at the 2012 frag swap. It was just a nub until about 3 months ago then exploded. Ponape(?) Birdsnest. Got this from RCA at the 2012 frag swap as a 2" frag. Various SPS. The purple monti came from the 2012 frag swap too. It was about the size of a quarter. RBTA rock. There are about 12 on this rock(although you can't see em all in this pic). LPS corner. The bicolor frogspawn was supposed to go to the office tank but I can't bring myself to do it. Lobo v brain Mixed zoas More mixed zoas Ricordea rock. I've had these since I set up my 58 5 years ago with 3 heads.
  22. Water change done on office tank. Let's see if the 6 line dies this time? I hope not.

  23. 2 deaths in 1 week after a water change. Hmmmmm.
