  1. Forgot to mention i also have 3 years' experience in small engine repair. I'm also willing to do odd jobs; mowing, running errands, whatever. I'm just getting bored.
  2. I am looking for part time work in the Buda/Kyle/South Austin area. I currently only work 2 and a half days a week and I'm just flat out getting bored. My two and a half days gets me my 40 hours a week that I need for bills and groceries, so money isn't a huge issue, although it'd be nice to have some more income. If you or anyone you know is looking for some help on Mondays and Wednesdays, please let me know. I have extensive experience in home health care, retail sales, and restaurant work. I'm willing to do just about anything. I have reliable transportation, excellent verbal and writing skills, am very friendly and personable, and always maintain the highest level of professionalism. Like I said, money isn't a big deal, but I'm a hard worker and I know what I'm worth. I have a professional resume available upon request. Thanks, guys

  11. Sweet. My wife would drain me penny-less if I worked for a jewelry company. I work for Disability Services of the Southwest (DSSW). It is a state-funded program that cares for the mentally and physically disabled. I was lucky enough to be placed by the company with my brother. He is 27 years old (23 myself) and requires 24-hour care. Basically, I get paid to hang out with my brother all day... Can't really complain about that! Good topic, IMO.
  12. I'm about to scrap this entire *@^*%^$ tank and start over!!!

I'll return messages to those who have PMed me tomorrow. Today was a horrible, horrible day, so I'm gonna have some beers and go to bed early.

This feeling happens to almost everyone. Maybe some hands off of the tank is what is needed.

  13. My wife has been wanting to go to SeaWorld, and I think behind-the-scenes passes would be enough for my lazy *** to actually get up and go! It would be her and I only. She will be in Dallas for five days somewhere towards the beginning of the month (encompassing a weekend), so mid- to later-month would work best for us, although I'm sure we could swing it either way. EDIT: You know what, you could potentially put us down for five. My cousin lives around the corner from Sea World, and I'm sure he and his family would love to see behind the scenes. I would just have to run it by him once a date is settled on.
  14. After 75 months, my truck is officially PAID OFF!!! Hello extra $513 a month. I haven't seen you since I was 17. Now allow me to introduce you to my tank...

  15. Anyone happen to know the BRS sponsor incentives, perchance? Gonna need about $150 worth of stuff if I can get my truck paid off in the next week or two

If you have placed an order with them, maybe if you were just on a group buy the discounts will show when you log in their website. It's not as much as group buy discounts thought.

      FarmerTy

Yeah, mine popped up with the discounts already in place.

  16. Wifey bought a Mega Millions on a whim even though we usually only do scratch-offs. Come on, Karma Gods!!! I've been good

  18. Looking really good. I'm digging your LPS
  19. Big thanks to JeeperTy for coming to spend time with me today by offering his advice on my GHA issue. Really good guy and an asset to our little community! Thanks again, buddy!

Hey, anytime Caleb. The lure of 2-cycle engine advice and an excuse to talk tanks is more than enough for me to go just about anywhere. I can't wait for your system to be up and running perfect again so you can get back to enjoying your tank.

  20. Those are gorgeous. I've seen other similar pairs before, but that pair from the dome had me staring for a solid 5 minutes. Congrats on the beautiful pair
  21. I've been mourning the death of my once-loved KLBJ. They're doing the same thing with their music. I love Led Zeppelin as much as the next guy (if not more), but I can only take "Trampled Underfoot" so many times in one day. Once they fired Charlie Hodge, I was done. Thank goodness he has a podcast now! Radio in general sure has gone downhill
  22. Right on, man. I appreciate the offer.
  23. I don't have a TDS meter. I plan on taking water from the tank and from my RODI unit with me to the LFS next time I go. I'll look into those turf scrubbers. I haven't seen them before, but you have me intrigued.
  24. Yeah, I'm not getting my hopes up, but just figured I would give it a shot anyways. I may give the Mg dosing a try after this. I was thinking the same thing. I'm almost positive my water is the culprit. Thanks for all the advice, Pat. I will keep it all in mind and implement it. I have not tested for PO4, but I know I need to. Nitrates are either at zero or five, consistently. They haven't been above that since the initial cycle. My bad... it is a RO/DI unit. I may try the chaeto trick. I hadn't thought about that.
