  1. I hope you have better luck with the dual chamber brs media unit. I have had one for a while now and its a clogorama I run there gfo in the first and have used alot of diffent kinds of carbon in the other and after a few days the flow starts to slow down then the carbon side gets a rusty brown/orange film in it and even with a okld MJ1200 at max flow nothing will go thu and I have to clean it all. I thought at one point it was the gfo braking up from to much flow but even at the point of it hardly moving the film develops. If I had it to do over again I would get seperate reactors. But I would like to hear how it goes maby its just me . I will probly end up getting another single and just leaving the second chamber empty.
  2. thanks for the info now I have to many things to pick from and will never make up my mind
  3. Thanks copenhagen was the one I was trying to remember out where I live its country or nothing ,
  4. Any recomendations for a store that has modern bedroom furniture other than Ikea lol. Looking for sharp clean lines and simple. thanks
  5. It don't mater what you buy now in 6 months after you get the feel for it your going to change your mind on about everything anyways so get cheep and used stuff where ever you can. Watch the forsale sec for t-5 or metal halie lights that will fit your tank.. Home Depot is your friend
  6. Im not sure on the tap water but would recomend a good flick of the probe after the clean water rinse to get rid of most of it before putting it in the 7 or 10 regent. But again if it reads both regents correct or within the probes +- then it is set right.
  7. I would say as long as when you put it back into the 7 or 10 after its done calibrating and it reads 7 or 10 then you are all set. Jus make sure not to cross contaminate them and always clean the probe in ro water before going to the other solution.
  8. it depends on the drivers you have most react to slowly to act like lightning strikes and all they do is scare your fish anyways err well and look cool and make you smile. I have seen a set of instructions to do it on RC's neptune systems forum in there sponsors section.
  9. you have some cool looking stuff wish it was around when I started my tank.
  10. I have a pm redline 175 that I was using on my 110g listed in the forsale section at $150. I upgraded to a bigger skimmer because my tank is getting bigger soon .
  11. well the forsale forum here is an awsome resorce to get started on a budget.
  12. Umm I think you are in the wrong place if you think no one will judge you laugh with you and at you but not for buying a pair of fish you really want. enjoy
  13. I would say if you post your tank size and if its a fowler or reef would help. Me personaly depending on Size I would guess 48" I would look into a used led like the SOL it might not be big enough for 48" though.
  14. you might want to consider renting the tile saw from a box store they are way better to use than the el cheepo ones and you dont have to store a tool you will probly never use again lol. I know I would do that and I own one of the el cheepo home depot saws.
  15. Hey you broke mine by fixing yours lol
  16. Ya I brush my teeth regularly
  17. The water level of the tank is within 1/4 in in the 60 in length of the tank . So the tank is fairly level The high over flow is on the right.I raised the left side of the pipe that crosses the sump an inch and slowed the return a bit and its back to level I'm going to raise the flow back up in the am when I can keep an eye on it I had the sledge out but decided to try it next if the flow don't work
