  1. I buy a plastic paint scraper at Lowes that uses safety razor blades (replaceable). Cost a dollar. That 12 inch jobbie doesn't work very well on bow-front tanks.
  2. is alive and well.

  3. I have been having some problems with my zoas and from talking to a few others, it is not an uncommon problem. I ran across this article yesterday on reefdiscussion.com and I wanted some feedback from the more experienced people in the group. See yall Saturday! http://www.zoaid.com/articles004.php
  4. Just as a matter of information, what is the difference between a frag and a colony?
  5. Nice to hear about a company that overdoes instead of just barely meeting requirements.
  6. Sorry about hijacking your thread, jp.
  7. Thanks Robb. I think that is the way I want to go but I just want to be certain before I spend $300 that could have gone towards a MH fixture. I either want two of the 48" Hagen Glo double light fixtures at 216 watts or the Current Nova Extreme at 324 watts.
  8. If he doesn't buy it, can I rent it for a month? I'd like to try it out and see if it is an improvement over my CF fixture.
  9. On the MAAST website, the forum says the meeting is on the 26th. The ARC meeting is on the 18th. Perhaps the prof is confused?
  10. Is anyone planning to attend? Can we get a car pool going?

The people who work there use the second pronunciation.
  12. Sorry for the damage you guys sustained. We got a half inch of rain per the weatherbug but no hail here in the Hippo Plex. I do have a question tho. How long would a tank survive without power? Several hours? A day?
  13. GKarshens, I am sure this topic has come up before and and it will again with each batch of new people. Where do you get the SeaChem? LFS or do you order online?
  14. Capn, sorry to hear about tank problems. In that chart you gave us the link for, it shows that nearly all products were high in nitrates, phosphates, and ammonia. I don't wish to appear dense, but isn't that the stuff we are trying to get rid of by doing water changes in the first place?
