  1. I found one, looks like Volitan is interested though.
  2. I have an LTA that just doesn't like silversides, all of my BTAs love em. Try feeding it something else like mysis. If the nem doesn't like the food, it will release it (the same as turning off the stickiness of its tentacles).
  3. The 150 should be plenty for LPS. CRM is right, putting a 250 in a canopy is a recipe for heating disaster. I took down my custom enclosed canopy with (2)250 MH over my 90g due to heat issues (4+ degree bump when MH were on even with 4 fans pulling air in/out).
  4. I'd be interested in one if you pull some. I love the one I've got in my biocube right now.
  5. My mushrooms coexist with each other, it's the other corals that they fight with.
  6. Mine will chase sheet algae pieces if dangled in front of their hiding place. you could easily lead them into an open space, cup, or container this way.

I'm in for a watermelon as well.
  8. Tried to PM but your box is full. Hey Dena, I'd like to come by and get some of your zoas. Also, I have a large plastic dog house that we bought for our dogs but they've never used it. It's in great shape. Is it something you could use? Mike
  9. Aquadome has a tiny pc fixture I've been looking at for nanos and picos. It is fairly inexpensive...
  10. We had a group of 5 that we started with when they were fairly small. Individually they weren't aggressive, but as they got bigger they would rule the tank as a school and were very aggressive toward the other fish in the tank. Additionally they would hog all the food when it hit the water. We paired it down to the three smallest ones and that has helped quite a bit. I'd say for a 90g tank, though, that is still the most you would want if you like having other fish.
  11. Three weeks ago I had my osc clown jump the pico at work, the day after he started hosting my mushrooms and developed a personality. Three days later one of my clarkii clowns in my 90g at home jumped after having been in their for 8 months. No clue why these clowns are jumping, but cover your tanks!
  12. Alright, looks like I'm open to parting out. (2) 250 MH magnetic ballasts, reflectors, bulbs (2) 14k Phoenix bulbs with 6 months use - ran for about 4 hrs a day) - $100 Icecap 660 ballast, wiring harness, 4 waterproof endcaps (driving the actinic light), (2) 48" T5 actinic blue (marine glow 54w) - $125 (2) 12" blue cold cathode ray bulbs and wiring harness (moon lights) - $10 Canopy with fans - $200
  13. An Odyssey 48" fixture. I think this will work if I can find it hanging kit Jake at RCA is seeing if he can locate one, he said they have been impossible to find but the rep says that they are still being made. The Odyssey is evidently a rip of the coralife.
  14. With my new light on the 90g I would really like to suspend it with wires from the ceiling so that I can easily raise it when I want to work in the tank. Does anyone local sell wire suspension kits? My light fixture is not pre-drilled for one so do I need to do any kind of special bracing to make sure the wire will hold? I really like the look of something like this: hanging kit
  15. What kind of moonlight fixture do you already have? Are you looking to extend it or just add another blue node?
  16. I'd second trying to make sure that he is getting enough to eat to distract him from the corals, but I know from experience that once they have figured out that corals make a tasty meal you probably won't ever be able to trust him.
  17. I run my drain hose to my guest bath toilet.
  18. Given that your other fish aren't showing spots I wouldn't worry too much about what the source is. Healthy fish that are eating are usually able to fight off ich on their own. I just went through a minor outbreak when I added my purple tang. I attribute it to the stress of moving as no other fish in the tank got it. The purple kept eating and was active and a week later the ich was gone. Is your tang eating and swimming around? Is it rubbing itself on rocks trying to clean itself? If the answer is that it is still eating and swimming around then I would not remove it, QT it, or try to treat the ich. Catching the fish and moving it to a QT tank could produce enough stress to push it over the edge. So, if it is eating and swimming then I would just keep feeding it and make sure that it isn't in true distress. At the first sign of it lying on its side, not eating, or somehow otherwise acting like it is in peril then I would scoop it up and QT it in a tank, treating with formalyn per instructions. It's cheap and effective but you must follow the directions. I know you can pick up products with formalyn at Aquatek and AquaDome if it comes to that. Best of luck! How to treak Ich with formalyn
  19. Happy b-day! Mine got missed in June and I thought about mentioning it....

  21. I've recently changed my lighting on my 90g to go with a more open top design. That means you have a chance to buy my custom cherry/oak canopy and lights. I would prefer not to part out, but if that is where the most interest is I'll consider it. Canopy includes: (2) 250 MH magnetic ballasts, reflectors, bulbs (2) 14k Phoenix bulbs with 6 months use - ran for about 4 hrs a day) (2) 48" T5 actinic blue (marine glow 54w) Icecap 660 ballast, wiring harness, 4 waterproof endcaps (driving the actinic light) (4) entertainment center cooling fans with mounting brackets and wiring harness (2) 12" blue cold cathode ray bulbs and wiring harness (moon lights) I don't even want to think about how much time/effort/lumber I have in this project. MH ballasts and canopy are a custom job. The canopy will completely enclose the top of your tank, wiring is all routed to the end of the canopy. Custom wiring uses standard computer power cables (provided) for quick and easy disconnects. MH ballasts are mounted in a gray pvc electrical box with openings for fans. EVERYTHING IS USED BUT IN GOOD WORKING ORDER Canopy is made from cherry veneer plywood (panels) and oak (black trim parts). Both front and back of the canopy have 48" piano hinges allowing you to access your tank from either side. Perfect for a peninsula tank setup. Everything except the MH were purchased new. Lighting should be more than sufficient for anything you want to raise (SPS, LPS, clams, softies). If you have any questions ask away.
  22. I want in, I'll take the Magician's top Pick Frag Pack. What is the process to pay for this?
  23. Wow, very pretty! I've had my sand sifter for about 4 months now with a ton of red and blue-legged hermits and emerald crabs and have had no problems with any of them.
