  1. These are some pics of just the powerhead. I have a quarter in the pics for size reference.
  2. I like a frag of the Palmers Blue Millipora please .
  3. Welcome to ARC. Everyone here is friendly and going to people's houses is one of the best ways to learn when you are new. The fuge (refugium) mod is super easy. If you look at your tank from the top (without a hood on it) you should see 3 chambers on the back. The middle chamber is where you want to put your algae (cheato is the most common type to use). In order to keep it alive you need to remove part of the backing so you can shine a light into the middle chamber. The backing is just a thin piece of vinyl that can be removed by scoring it with a razor blade and peeling off the part where the algae will be. You can pick up a cheap light fixture from home depot or lowes (you can find a clip on for about $6-10). Ideas on how to run the light on the fuge vary. Some people like to run it at the opposite time as the main lights some like to run the fuge light 24/7.
  4. Dave, I'm assuming your controller turns your chiller on and off, so you are worried about the tank getting to warm. Is my assumption correct? If so, there are a number of things you could do to keep the temp down for a little while.
  5. Yeah...I knew that . Sorry missed the text above the pic.
  6. Free shipping is the only way to go.
  7. Yeah, I have one fish in the 24g, and 6 in the 75g. Looking to get 2 or more, depending upon how fast the 75 adapts to the 2 new fish.
  8. I found this site that seems to have good deals on livestock. They carry a good variety of fish. They also have corals, clams, and other livestock. There is free shipping for orders over $350. I'm not sure if they offer a discount for large orders, but I can find out if there is enough interest. They families of fish they carry are: Angels (dwarf and large), Anthais, Basslets, Batfish, Blennys, Boxfish/Trunkfish, Butterfly, Cardinal, Clowns, Damsels, Dragonettes, Eels, filefish, Frogfish and Anglers, Goatfish, Gobies, Groupers, Grunts/Sweetlips, Hawkfish, Hogfish, Lionfish, Miscellaneous, Parrot Fish, Pipefish, Psedocromis/Dottybacks, Puffers, Rabbitfish, Rays, Scorpions, Seahorses, Sharks, snappers, squirrel fish, tangs, triggers, and wrasses. If you are interested post a reply here.
  9. You've probably already done this, but you might take some water to a LFS. It could be you testing kit if it is always high.
  10. I think you win for worlds worst pet. That really sucks.
  11. I'm up north in wells branch.
  12. I'm probably going to order/buy some in a couple of weeks. I may try and start a group order. I found a site that seems to have pretty good fish prices called freshmarine. Let me know if you would be interested.
  13. I read somewhere the success rate is much better when you frag them with a mouth. I'm interested to see how this turns out, without a mouth. Please keep us updated.
  14. I would like 3. I can pick them up anytime after noon.
  15. He is selling K4s, to much flow for the tank.
  16. Anybody have any they might be selling in the next week? Going to buy 2 soon.
  17. What flow(gph) are you looking for? The mag 18 is 1800 gph, so 1800 +/- how much?
  18. Tunze Turbelle Stream 6060 Powerhead and Magnet (works on 3/4" glass). The powerhead works great (a little to great for my lps) and puts out 1,585 gph at very low wattage. Would be great for a SPS tank. Retail is about $134 for the pump and $57 for the magnet. I'm asking $95 for both.
  19. Looking for two powerheads with around 600gph flow like the koralia 2s.
  20. Would you be willing to sell the tank after everything else is gone? If so pm me.
