  1. I found turning off the powerhead works well too. When the powerhead is on, the it can pull the anemone in if it is moving or to close. You might want to think about moving the powerhead far enough away where it won't be a problem in the future.
  2. Sorry, but I'm going to have to back out of the acan frag party .
  3. Anyone interested in buying the acans together and fragging it?

    Hi There!

Welcome!!! I suggest getting a timer for your lights. A basic one is about $5 and are a great convenience for not having to manually work the lights. The more you can automate in this hobby the more you can just enjoy your tank .
  5. I think it does, but I will confirm this with my girlfriend as I don't have the best eye for color . Unfortunately I don't have the best bulb in the tank right now. If you look carefully you can see the sand bed has no tint to it. I'm attaching a pic of the nem in a different tank with better lighting.
  6. Looking to sell a Rose Bubble Tip Anemone (RBTA). Approximately 4 inches across. Asking $80. The anemone for sale is a clone of the one in the picture. My clowns like to go back and forth and were in this one when I was taking pictures.
  7. Thought some of you might get a kick out of this. http://store.glennz.com/clownfish.html
  8. Pat, Are you keeping a log/journal? As you live in Austin, I think they would be pertinent to those of us on this site who might want to try it. I know I'd be interested to see your findings with your outside tank experiments.
  9. Just saw this on their site Yellow Tang - Limit 1 with $79.99 Minimum Purchase! $9.99
  10. I'm taking apart a 75 gallon this weekend and selling about 45 lbs of live rock and about 50 lbs of live sand. I have someone interested in the rock and possibly live sand, but I am taking backups. Live rock $3/lb Live sand $1/lb
  11. I am wanting to put together a cheap frag rack and wanted some input. I most people make them out of mag floats (I a mag float for that already). Can you use other magnets too? Do they need to be treated or can you use ones from Home Depot/Lowes? I believe magnets will rust, but I have seen people who have made frag racks out what seem to be bare magnets. One person stated they just bought one from Home Depot. Thanks for any advise.
  12. Sounds good James. I'll see you at the meeting with the shrimp.
