  1. I've notice in the past several LPS seem to do well where you 1st place it....but after a while they tend to either loose their color or they're not expanding as they use to. From my observation....our tank seems to be more of an SPS dominant tank....and I'd figure my SPS have double or triple in size and if this could be the cause for LPS to react---Chemical reaction from SPS? Any thoughts? Sorry, Mark didn't mean to hijack this thread. -Cindy-
  2. Welcome!! And thank you for becoming a sponsor.
  3. Do you have any favia frags on sale?
  4. I've read that as long as the carbon was not used for medicinal removal purposes you can mix it in your soil for gardening.
  5. Eckreef....you won't be disappointed...this chalice is pretty in color....especially once it acclimates to your tank. I have one as well, check my avatar, is one of my favorites. -Cindy-
  6. Very Nice!! Definitely the blue, purple and even the iridescent green hues will pop. I'm with Gabe---would like to know about growth results.
  7. How were you calibrating it? We use pure RO/DI water or distilled water and turn the set screw until that sample reads 0.
  8. We're very satisfied with our Reef Octopus TDNW 300 Recirculating Skimmer. Although it's a monster, we had planned on having an external one and there was no way we could've afford a Euro or Deltec. Specs: 12" diameter 32" Tall Recirculating Pumps: 3 x Octopus OTP 2000, 38W, 530GPH. Requires additional feed pump with gph rating at approx. 1.5 times volume of your system. Approx. footprint 20" x 14" Now remember we have a 215g. with a 125g sump/refugium and a 34g. Neo-Nano tank plumbed to this system. This skimmer it's doing its job...IMO.
  9. +1 on "FRAG IT".....very original---great point Dave & RJohn.
  10. Looking good kiddo . Beautiful FTS.....and macro shots as well...see you're getting the hang of it. You should be proud of your tank, not many people in your age group are as dedicated to the hobby like you have. Keep it going . -Cindy-
  11. Dena, Are you selling that chalice frag as well? If so, how much? -Cindy-
  12. James....you sure got a "City of Zoas" on your tank....what massive colonies you got there....Very Nice aquascape! -Cindy-
  13. Love how you created caves and cliffs....Looks awesome, Derek.
  14. You mean like we do it. Ours drips into the main tank.....and our set up is external.
  15. Well, if you say you suck at it LOL....you just gonna have to practice more. Take sometime from your spring break and practice...that's all it takes. That's the beauty w/digital cameras....you can keep shooting all you want. But I think is a very decent pic. and just have fun and try different settings till you get the right one.
  16. Sure....love the favia you got there....if you ever decide to frag it....give me holler. -Cindy-
  17. Nice Tank...I like the rock you picked out......it has a natural structure. Was it pricey?
  18. Thanks Brooks....but where's your FTS.....come on, come on....share those pics.
  19. Nice shots. FTS please....I'm not too far from you....Leander? right!
  20. Thanks Dave. I really didn't put too much effort on the FTS....that's probably why is not well in focus and sharp as it should be. I'm going to switch lenses and use Roberts' just to see how it comes out.
  21. Yeah...I know...me..lazy....Thanks Mike LOL!
  22. Here's an updated of our 215g not the best pic but you get the idea....and other pics.
