  2. Hey Dale, Cindy here, WOW!! you sure weren't kidding about going larger. You've been busy.....can't wait to see the progress. Hey, those 2 guys look familiar....Oh yeah!! Don and Michael, that's where they've been hanging around all this time.....they look too happy, better put them to work . -Cindy-
  3. Welcome to the club!
  4. Koralia 3 ---Asking $30 ---SOLD Koralia 4 ---Asking $40. --- SOLD Thanks for looking. -Cindy-
  5. Here's an old pic of the different colors of frogspawns we had at one time...with the exception of the centered coral...it's a hammer--not a green one. -Cindy-
  6. On the Milwaukee instruction booklet it states to swirl and not shake---this produces air bubbles that can give inaccurate readings. Plus, my husband makes it a point I swirl not shake.
  7. I don't know too much about the Hanna meter, but we have a Milwaukee phosphate meter and the regent has to be dissolved completely before placing the vial in the meter to get an accurate reading. Dissolving the regent (powder like) is the part that takes a little more time then anything else. -Cindy-
  8. One the 1st video...I thought for sure it was going to snatch that person's hand. 2nd video....that's awesome.....and check out the color on that starfish.
  9. Thanks Dave !!! You should know!! It came from your mother colony.....I love this baby, it's so "hot pink". I just took this pic and I'm adding the growth sequence to my blog. -Cindy-
  10. Don.....Here are the 2 pics so you can look at.
  11. Hey Don, Red planet still available.....when were you thinking of coming by. The rest of the weekdays are going to be hectic but I'll be available on Sat. -Cindy-
  12. The purple tang tends to be semi-aggressive towards its own kind: yellow tang, scopas tang, sailfin tang. Ours tried to pull a stunt like that on our juvenile sailfins tangs but our Dussumieri tang keeps in him inline, being a larger fish, it helps. Some hobbyists believe that if you're thinking about adding a purple tang.....to make sure is the last tang you add to the community. -Cindy-
  13. The following corals are for sale: 4 mushrooms: 2 purple and 2 speckled....these are fairly 2.5" when open. Asking $10.---SOLD Tiny frag 3/4" of ORA Hawkins echinata, two branches encrusting together. Asking $20 OBO. Will post pick tomorrow when lights come on.----SOLD Nice size frag (multiple branches) of ORA Red Planet. This usually goes for $50+ online....This piece broke off from main frag and now its been growing on the sandbed.....couldn't find the little booger till today. Asking for $40. Will post picks tomorrow when lights come on.----SOLD
  14. Liz, Any of them will do......pink sounds good to me. The growing part is the issue....once establish (some may take months) they'll take off. The yellow ones have opened....I use to have a colony of those but they were not doing well. Hopefully this will do, since they're in a different tank. Thanks, -Cindy-
  15. I have some orange that's growing on my overflow. LMK is you're interested. -Cindy-
  16. If I'm not mistaken...I believe Patrick (subsea) will be hosting the March meeting at his place. I think this would be a good opportunity to check out his tanks and I'm pretty sure there will be folks snapping pics. to post on this forum. I'm hoping that I'll be able to attend... We personally use RO/DI.
  17. OUCH!! Poor babies....I think if they're eating and water parameters are in check.....they both will heal. I've had in the past a Scopas Tang, Yellow Tang and a Purple....and you could tell they were going at it. Within 24hrs. they were healing....amazing how some fish can bounce back that quickly. -Cindy-
  18. Angelfish has a new home...Thanks Liz.
  19. Why don't you use a 2L bottle to catch it and see if it works. Check this out...
  20. Yep...that's the one. I had this fish with softies (zoas, different mushrooms, kenya tree (colt), frogspawn)....no ill effect on those corals.
