  1. Plug it directly into the wall and see. That would be surprising.
  2. Does the tube from the tank go all the way into the water? If it doesn't, I would guess that is where the noise is coming from. It also might be coming from water over the baffle into the fuge. It is kind of hard to tell from the picture. I would think that would be a much more "subtle" sound. Unless water is just ripping through your sump. In which case I would slow the flow down from the return pump. Check at the sock first
  3. Are you trying to upload to the gallery or a thread?
  4. I had a thought! If you switched bulbs and the yellow bulb looked fine on the "good" side then I would suspect the ballast.
  5. Did you switch which side of the ballast is running which bulb? BTW I am interested in the answer too.
  6. NICE!!! congrats! The tank looks great. I really want to see it when those corals are huge. BTW those are some big "frags." Those reflectors are fantastic. On the durso you can install a john guest style valve on the top. I have the tap. Just let me know if you would like to borrow it.
  7. It is good to hear you got the sump installed and skimmer installed. Silly dogface. Sometimes I don't understand why fish keep putting them selves in danger.
  8. Super cool! Does he like his steak rare or well done?
  9. First, building your own overflow is fun. I built one and it worked great and was exactly the size I wanted. I do have to recommend building a J-tube style box. They are MUCH more reliable then do not require a second pump. You can buy J-tubes at Amazonia for a couple of dollars and cut it to length.
  10. Never seen it. Want to see it! You should try it. If it doesn't look good NBD.
  11. Aquadome WAY south. They are only $7. I just bought one for our Harlequins and they had some extras.
  12. Looks great! I am jealous of your shop. Can I have a beer? BTW I find it helpful on my power strip to have like things next to each other. For example pumps are 1-3, fans and heater 4-5, lights 6, etc.. Just a thought. It helps me keep track of what is where.
  13. Thank you Carlos! I am sure many of us would be far less successful without you and your shop!
  14. 80 what gabriel said about the lights and stuff
  15. Not to pimp the guys too much, but John and Brian at Kingfish no the answer. Don't they always? JK LOL
  16. Hifin goby w/ shrimp is pretty fun. Or yasha hasha boby
  17. T5s on a 660 with the right reflectors would be great. The 660s overdrive the bulbs and bump up the output put. I would go eight T5s for whole tank light, but actinics only four would be good. I have 8 T5s over my 67 gallon. It rocks and the temp is about 80 as well.
  18. Fantastic! I am glad everything found a good home. I am sure the rabbit fish will start swimming around more. He is definitely food motivated.
