  1. vwmike, I might have mis-spoke. I looked at the Vivid link again and compared them to mine and they are a little different. The Vivid ones seem to be solid red. And if anyone took offense to my offer to sell a frag, my apologies. I think everyone knows I don't peddle frags here (I have too many issues trying to get mine to grow ). I was making the offer if the ones wanted weren't available any more. Stephen
  2. I cleared it. Thanks for letting me know. I just love (hate) this new website. it seems like everytime we have had one for long enough for you to learn how to navigate it, it gets changed again. Stephen
  3. jknight1 and vwmike, I have some that I think are exactly like those I would be willing to sell small frags of if you are interested. Stephen
  4. How big to the blues get? Stephen
  5. I do, I have 2 green chromis that I have had for a long time, and I added 2 blue chromis that I got at Carlos' RC sale. I haven't had any problems. The blues and the greens actually appear to ignore each other. Stephen

I would like to hear the opinions as well. Stephen
  7. I'll probably be getting something as well. I think I lost several of my Emerald crabs after the Interceptor treatment. Not sure what else yet. Stephen
  8. I have two 400W's with two 48" T5s over my 200 gal. I want to redo the lights, and when I do if I still do MH, I'll have three 250W's (plus a combo of LED's and/or more T5s). I completely agree, now that I have researched and done more reading on the subject (both Sprung and Calfo), that 400W's are completely unnecessary and overkill (maybe even detrimental) for any tank shallower than 28" - 30". Stephen
  9. Did you get my reply to your PM? Stephen
  10. I use Tunze and have been happy with it except the price. Where is HW available and what's the price look like? Stephen
  11. Those are both excellent. The first one is about the best short story on v-dosing out there. Stephen
  12. I'm looking forward to the discussion on this one as well. There is tons of stuff on Reef Central, but I haven't visited those threads in a while. Stephen
  13. I will be interested in hearing as well. Stephen
  14. Besides the "wish we could haves" (me included), please let me know when there is another group order, as I think I need some more Emerald crabs (did I spell that right?). Stephen
  15. I didn't mean to hijack the thread, but I bet it was a sad day in SA. So did he sell everything off, or is he planning on starting back up in the future. I assume it was because he has the small children? So who is running MAAST now, BigBird123 by himself? Stephen
  16. Wow! I had heard Ace had just got off SPS. I didn't realize he shut the whole tank down, or did I misunderstand? Stephen
  17. That sounds really cool with the lightening. I think I remember now seeing photos Ace took with the straight sunlight, and then with the Actinics on. It looked pretty good. BTW, did he stop growing SPS? I had heard a rumor about that. I would love to have the solar tubes too, unfortunately the location of my tank and the way the has is built, it won't ever happen for the display tank. Stephen
  18. Mike, How are the solar tubes working out? Do you supplement them with anything else? Stephen
  19. I'm just trying to understand why you would have ever gotten a Mandarin if you didn't already have a pod population to support it, unless you were planning on seeding your tank with Tigger pods for a while. Stephen
  20. This would be the blog on ACR? Stephen
  21. I just picked off about 3 of them about a week ago that were growing up around my tubbs zoo's. I have had them a various times in the past, always getting rid of them, and considered them a nuisance as if left alone, they seem to start taking over and killing off anything near them. I didn't know they were supposed to be rare. I saw one eat a hermit crab that had left its shell and gotten too close while on its way to its new shell. I think they are a type of Paly. Stephen
  22. The problem with Berghia is they only eat Aiptasia (and I can't remeber if they eat the larger ones or not), but once they have eaten all the Aiptasia, unless you are willing to set up a jar or small tank for them with plenty of Aiptasia in it, they will starve to death. They are also very hard to come by, you have to get them online. I've never seen a LFS carry any. I agree with Truckin, I tried the Peppermint shirmp and they didn't seem to make a dent in them. Stephen
  23. I like Anthony Calfo's "Coral" magazine. But instead of buying the magazine, you can get a lot more education in one place with his book, or Julian Sprung's book. Stephen
  24. I've had several skimmers (including the big Elos one) and keep coming back to the Euro-Reef. IMO you can't go wrong with one, and from I understand if you want to go used you can normally find an RS80 (? - whatever their smaller one is) on one of the threads (ACR, MAAST, RC). Stephen
