I pour rodi water in twice a week and dose some brs soda ash solution into the tank (not measured) when I put rodi in. I dose zeobak twice a week and feed the fish MWF. That's about it. I randomly pull my foam filter maybe once month.

I'm not sure yet. I think having too many fish is what caused my 10g to have trouble. I may leave it be. We'll see

Well things are going well. The Lawnmower Blenny is cleaning the heck out of the Tank!! I think it's also a combination of less fish waste too. I was having to feed the Hippo Tang frozen daily, whereas the coris wrasse eats pellets very well so I havn't fed frozen in probably a month. I'm going to add some LPS from my tank at home but for now, all the Corals in the tank are looking good. My "Zoa Clam" Purple Polyped Birdsnest ORA Pink and Green Pocillapore "Pink" Birdsnest FTS

I have the palmers blue from Tim. Don't really wanna cut it yet though. It's really taking off right now and I don't wanna mess with it. I got you later if you don't find any.

They vary just like any other coral, But I had a stag that you had to use huge cutters to frag. And I also have to other stags that are much smaller. Still thicker than most SPS though.

Been a while. I was having trouble with my corals bleaching, so I picked up a dimmer for my BML light. I dialed it down to 50% and everything's been happy ever since. My clown died of some type of bacterial infection, and the hippo shortly after that. I decided to go with fish that I didn't neccessarily have to feed, and would serve more of a purpose. So currently, I have a small Yellow Coris Wrasse, and a Lawnmower Blenny. Both have been doing well and cleaning the heck out of the tank. The "Clear" overflow definitly is brown now. Wouldn't do that again!

Just came home to find my tank off. The switched flipped on my surge protector. Everything's been off for 4 hours! Thanks vortech backup. My paletta blues tips were out of water. They look fine. Geesh!

Had a tip of an SPS rtn yesterday. Looked in my sump and somehow my dosing lines ended up on top of my skimmer and nothing was going into the tank for 3 days. Geesh, there's always something.

Yeah, it will effect the skimmers performance. And a skimmer uses a Venturi pump which already reduces the flow. You can manifold from your return pump, works very well usually.

Yup, basically. If you hard plumb from the pump to the bottom of the overflow, then put whatever loc line stuff you want at the top.

Don't buy a maxi jet as a power head! Total waste, and they're loud. Korelia is great for a low price and I way quieter than most power heads. Next would be tunze which are nice as well but a little more expensive. I would never put anything other than vortech's on a big coral dominant tank. But that's me. Fish won't care.
