      Bwahaha!

I told the FedEx guy (I know him) that if he hadn't stopped I was going to be stuck to his windshield. He about died laughing.

  3. I keep checking the FedEx website, but my corals are still in Memphis??!! NOOOOO! Please, FedEx, don't screw this up.

Sorry to hear that. I'm having the same issue with my new phone. Stuck in Memphis too. Was supposed to be here today. Not getting here till Monday night. Now my phone is gone, and I don't have my contacts. I run super bowl #'s. Not good. Hope your corals made it.

I've got two zoa colonies that will not open up no matter what. Seller is going to comp for them. But still, so upsetting.

  4. Hah! Pyramid butterfly captured and moved to the predator tank. Fastest catch on my record, less than 20 seconds from trap in tank to butterfly in trap. He won't be eating my corals now!

I thought pyramids were one of the "safe" butterflies.

So did I. Mine didn't read that part of the book. Ate my monti cap like it was yummy candy. And took bites out of my pectinia too.

  5. Oh goody two inches of wet, sloppy snow. Won't be cutting firewood today!

Thankfully the power wasn't out too long. The house stayed toasty since I used a woodburning stove for heat. Still, not amused at all.

  8. Frag tank is about a week away from restarting. And I started a new build today, a nano hall tank for the little creatures.

  9. Busy day. 16' of new workbench built in the shop. And Saturday the new storage building arrives. Now I got a place to put mah stuffs.

  11. Disaster struck today. My main frag tank crashed while I was at work. About $3000 in corals gone just like that.

My first clue was the monti's. The setosa went from bright orange to pale orange and covered in slime. The bulletproof orange cap did the same thing. Zoas closed up, acros rtn'ed.

BTW, it wouldn't have likely bit me, since I always have on dry, rubber soled shoes when working in the tanks. Since it couldn't have completed the circuit using me, I most likely wouldn't have even felt a thing. The corals were what clued me in that I had a major issue.

  12. Note to self. Four people aint' enough to unload a 210g beast. Turns out she weighs nearly 500lbs. No wonder I was struggling to hold onto my corner.

I moved a 125-gallon all by myself, and set it up on the stand as well. Dumbest thing I ever did... though I did give myself crafty points for doing it. One slip away from staying with a 65-gallon.

    3. FarmerTy

      FarmerTy

Forgot to mention the best part... 206 lbs, moved in from the garage and lifted on to a 2.5 foot high stand. Leverage is your friend.

      Sherita

I *will* be getting more people when its time to put in on the stand. 42" tall stand I won't attempt with 4 ppls.

  13. I've had it up to HERE with Adobe Flash. Get it right people, or get rid of it.

The last two times the thing has updated, it has made a mess of things. I'm just about over dealing with it.

  14. Great. My firefish are in the overflow in the 72g. This should be fun. Not.

      Capt. Obvious

Coke bottle trap! (if you can fit one in) and eggcrate over your overflow for future prevention ;)

    2. Sherita

      Sherita

My overflow is covered, they squirted through the teeth :P

Trap won't fit. I'm going to have to pull the canopy so I can net them.

  15. Sitting here waiting on FedEx to show up with my box 'o goodies from Blue Zoo. Hurry up!

  17. Picking up the 210g this weekend. I can't wait!

  18. Move this tank over there, take that tank down, set that tank up. Yeesh. It's about to get real busy around here.

  19. I'm up, look presentable, drinking coffee and then off to fight the Dallas traffic to get to MACNA. Gonna see a couple speakers today, check out more vendors, and maybe win something in the raffle :)

...and she did win a raffle. A VERY nice LED fixture. Matter of fact she won her 3 day pass to MACNA in a raffle. Lucky lady!!! The punch line is she doesn't like LED's. Lol

  20. Wondering if there are any plans for a fall frag swap? My frag system is completely out of control and getting overgrown.

Hey I can't get a message to you. is your box full?

  21. Cyano outbreak mystery solved. TDS was way up. New filters and resin, and I'm back to "0". RO/DI tank and mixing stations all cleaned with acid and ready to start fresh. The only bad part was dumping nearly 80g of mixed saltwater and 60g of rodi down the drain. Lesson learned, stay on top of filter changes.

  22. Spent the afternoon turning wrenches on the 4WD. Exhaust manifold is finally off, and waiting for the attention of the machine shop monkeys.

  23. Any ARC members planning on coming down to hear the MAAST speaker tomorrow, or for the meeting? Please pm if you are, I am in desperate need of a favor.
