  6. Yeah. I thought the teks I had read with the Furan used it as a dip, not dosing a whole tank. ScubaSteve; what method did you follow?
  7. Can you post a good pic of the tank? I'm wondering if there might be something else that one of us might notice that hasn't been brought up. I would suspect the Furan more than the lighting though, if the bad started since you dosed the tank.
  8. I don't ever check any of my tank parameters (other than salinity before/after a WC) as it looks like a happy tank. After Callahans thread about stable pH by pulling air from outside, I set a small air pump on my balcony and ran the tube to an airstone in my refugium. Been running like that for over a year. Can't really say if there have been any benefits or drawbacks, but from what I've read it was a cheap thing to try.
  9. Anyone want a beautiful Majano on a frag plug? :D

Why would I want to kill it. That seems like a waste of a perfectly good anemone.

Tank is 55gal. If she opened up round the oral disc would easily be 6-8+" diameter. But she normally is squished oblong because of the rockwork.
  12. You could probably trade the wife for a sweet tank, or at least a skimmer/light combo. Fixes both problems.
  13. I used to feed every couple of days, and switch it up between a frozen mix mysis/cyclops/emerald entree/rotifers and spectrum pellets. Recently I wanted to see what would happen if I started feeding twice a day. I now feed cyclops/rotifers in the morning for the corals, and frozen at night for fish. I throw in pellets whenever I feel like. I'm testing to see if I get better coral growth (Zoas/LPS/Few SPS), and if this overfeeding gives me any type of algae, or if my system can keep up. 1 week so far with no new algae, so we'll see how it goes.

No nudis. I dip eveerything and spend a lot of time looking at my zoa garden. Harlequin would be expensive lunch for my Hawkfish. I'm just pulling them out everytime I see them.

      I didn't know you had a hawkfish, so I quess it's pulling by hand. . .

What works for me is pulling the little rocks out after the light go out and picking them off with a dental pick that I got from Walmart

  16. You'll be happy with it. I am actually running that exact same skimmer on my 28jbj cube and love it.
  17. Got my Kenko Tubes. Picture time!

  19. Usually shouldn't start bothering much until they get about 6ft or so. http://www.oregonreef.com/sub_worm.htm
  20. Net on a stick! Its incredibly easy, once you're down there. Just walk out on one of the jetties at night, shine your light down into the cracks inbetween the rocks and scoop up all kinds of critters.
  21. Can I use this to dip fish instead of a long boring quarantine?
  22. hope its not a sculpin. you wont have any of those shrimp left if it is
