  1. yellow and purple eat it at my house.
  2. Grape caulerpa. In fact many many fish will eat this macro and benefit from doing so. My tangs love it.
  3. Dewd they look lost. So confused. Poor little things.
  4. Hahaha, the dog will be on a strict vegetarian diet like it's owners. Cheese pizza and bean and cheese burritos all the time.
  5. The top one could almost be a cabbage leather from the pic. I realize it probably is not, but I can't really tell from the quality of the picture if it is plant or animal. If I need to post a pic, a lot of times I will turn off my tnak lighting and use my flash. I find that my lighting makes it near impossible to take a good clean pic. They either come washed out and almost white, or everything looks blue.
  6. Oh I appreciate that. As much as it sounds as though I do want a dobie, I also don't want to clean up land mines. I don't even like to mow the grass. With that said, this is definitely why I'm reaching out to see what others like, have had experiences with, what they wouldn't do again etc.. I had a friend with a wonderful blue heeler, I would never realized that he was probably just lucky that his was ok with being a house dog. He took the dog all over, but it did not have any place to roam or "work". That was a reason why heelers were on my list. Same goes for the catahoula and border collies. Not having a place for them to run and work, I'll cross them off my list. And it's not that I wouldn't be willing, it's just why take the chance if it's unnecessary. The other half has suddenly jumped on the Boston Terrier band wagon after doing more research. Sounds like a right sized dog, smooth short fur, light on the food bill, smaller dogs tend to be cheaper at the vet, obnoxious like it's possible future owners, cats could easily defend themselves, might be able to climb a chain link fence but less likely to just jump over it, shouldn't frighten or "put off" guests, and a few other reasons. We certainly are not set on one, and we may still not ever get a dog. We have been "looking" for a dog now for at least 6 years. Then again I want a serval cat but I don't want a zoo. Been down that road before. So now I would rather put a lot of planning into picking the right one for our home.

Aw man now that I'm home, this sux. The reports we were given seem drastically over rated from the reports on the news. Our building was very close to the PCL.

  8. There goes my mind, there goes mah mind...

  9. You are welcome to borrow the suction cups, they will make it so much easier to move. Prof and I can move Oceanic 220g just the 2 of us using them. I helped Chalinda (not sure which one was on the other end heh heh) with their tnak move. Maybe they will chime in as they just requested a second visit with them.
  10. Oh sorry, Mike works during the day. I just read the reply about above dog. I'll need to run it by her and see what she thinks. I do think we were looking more for a smooth hair or a groomed dog so as not to have more fur everywhere. I'll let ya know.
  11. Whatever looks good and/or works well in your tnak. The branches will begin to grow in the appropriate manner. Also, many tabling acros in the hobby tend to begin growing almost like any other acro. I believe it takes strong lighting to get them to stay growing flat. Like most any of our corals, they will grow into the desired area that works best for them.
  12. Meh So is the tnak only an inch wide like the video?
  13. Death to tnak jnuk unless you save it.

  14. On the porch in a container is a large piece of orange digi. It is very much alive but my lighting keeps bleaching it. When I move it to a darker place it extends polyps. Some Caribbean mushrooms, 2 actually. A large clump of something. It appears to be a clove polyp type encrusting, probably just sponge. Rather large. Plus it has 2 very large blue mushrooms on it. There are a couple of awesome green skirt with yellow center zoas on that piece as well. I wanted them to grow out but I just want the space back. A large rock with about 12-20 very nice blue/teal/sometimes purple mushrooms. This is free for the taking. If you have a couple of loose zoa that would be awesome. I wrote up a thread for these awhile back but it did not receive any responses. This new thread is because they will all be in the trash within a few hours. I'm also adding pichers as Brooks likes to request. I began rearranging the tnak for new additions and then started pulling everything I did not want out. This in turn stirred up the water and I waited to long to take photos so please keep that in mind. Orange digi. large rock with mushrooms and a couple of zoa. Also note the digi and 2 mushrooms. Those are the Caribbeans. 2 Caribbean mushrooms This is what those mushrooms look like attached where I want them, I have more, these were extras. Mushroom rock. Not a pic of the rock itself but a picture that happens to contain a portion of them. Check out the shrooms on the left. There are a lot more plus the rock. Again this will all go in the trash at sundown. I live in Round Rock. This is free for the taking, a small token SPS or zoa is appreciated.
  15. Oh wow. wow. I was just about to reply to you saying that my phosban reactor had not been picked up as was arranged on Friday but the above post has me thinking twice.
  16. Thicker glass. Like I said in the beginning.
  17. Yes and no. Some tnaks can handle it and some cannot. You should begin by figuring out the exact thickness of your glass. This glass is usually braced. My 75 is not, yet most are. Some people have broken the brace and decided to forgo it altogether. Some have had success. Then again I believe that one person here at the ARC removed theirs and the tnak let go on them.
  18. Medi, one thing-Hip Dysplasia. For some reason it seems that most of the Boxers I've seen in the past few years have it. I do like Boxers and were once on my short list until 2 of my friends had problems with theirs. Yours look like very nice animals.
  19. Dewd that bottom one is staring at me and creeping me out.
  20. That's funny you say border collie as she was all about Scroll down to "****", and I kinda liked "Waffles". So uh yeah bout the "shelter" thing, that's what we are looking at, as you can clearly see once you click on the link. It's just that I'm also interested in pure breeds such as the Doberman and Schnauzer. It's about 50/50 so I would appreciate not having to "argue" the shelter thing any further. Rather than saying "shelter" instead do us all a favor and and tell me a specific shelter that you think is doing an above average job and is worth going to. *******************************************************ADDENDUM****************************** OK HONESTLY HERE FOLKS, REALLY? REALLY? IS THERE ANYONE ELSE ON THIS FORUM THAT BELIEVES THE SWEARY FILTER IS KIND OF OVER THE TOP RIDICULOUS AT TIMES? When I clicked on the "preview post" to see if my link worked it did not. I cannot type the name ****, think short for Richard. It is a name. I work with a guy named ****. **** would probably be offended if he joined the site here and created a username of "****" and it could not be displayed. ****, ****, ****, Rooster. So yeah Diabeetus please scroll down to **** on the page. D i c k. And mods I am not trying to "get around the swear filter" Sorry but I cannot type out **** as in the animal's name for others to look at and comment.
  21. My understanding is that the tnak was sold to, and picked up by, the first responder to my PM box. SOLD
  22. So my other half has been after me to get her a dog for several years. She really wanted a Doberman but I'm leery about our 2 cats. I think the younger one would be fine but I'm worried the old one will be so upset that she might waste away. I'm also worried that with such a large dog that a playful nip at the cat could end in death for kitty. So lately she has been patrolling the pounds and keeps sending me pics of other dogs. I'm looking for a few ideas here. First: breed. Second: size. Third: demeanor. Fourth: hectic schedules. Fifth: where? Breed: So I would still personally like a Doberman. I've always liked them and have always wished to keep one. I've had min pins before. They were an absolute handful. I actually kind of liked the messages the pound would leave me when they would catch Pico running loose in the hood. The called him "Devil Dog" and his city mandated microchip papers identified him as such. However a min pin does not make a Doberman. Other breeds: Whippet, Italian Greyhound (kinda the same thing), Screw Tail Boston terrier, most any of the terriers, blue heeler, catahoula, or my other all time hold out a salt and pepper giant schnauzer. Size: I have a decent sized back yard so that's not so much a problem. 1 problem is I only have a chain link fence. If necessary I could add an invisible fence and train it. Along with size I do have 2 cats to think about. I am also worried about having to clean up piles behind a large dog. Large dogs= large bills. Anybody have a preference? Demeanor: Of course the nice thing about a larger dog is that my house might seem a little more secure. I have been robbed twice while living in Austin so yeah that sucks. I'm stuck between wanting a warm fluffy rock that could care less if I'm there (that's probably from the cats) and a wild obnoxious always in my face dog. I'm really wanting to stay away from a middle of the road perfect dog. Either dead lazy or super annoying hyper. If it is ultra hyper I am much more inclined to take it everywhere with me and unleash it upon the unsuspecting. Schedule conflicts: I work a job with no set hours. I could be working 40 hours or 98 hours without warning. My Misses is currently working and taking a few classes so her schedule can be wacky as well. And finally where? Of course the first thing that everyone will say is "The Pound". Ok now that we are past that let's move on. As much as I don't mind visiting a shelter, and it is still an option, I am also the type that enjoys a pure breed and I also like getting papers with a dog. I'm no farmer so I'm never going to have an awesome paper trailed horse or anything, this may be as close as I get. I will not buy from Petland and I am also set against side of the road. I realize that some people just happen upon a litter of puppies and need to get rid of them in a parking lot, but good people breed good dogs and find better ways of passing them on. So I want all the comments, even from fishypets. Any experiences with any of the dogs I like?
  23. fishy, a post awaits you in reefkeeping about magnifiers. What happened to yours?
