  1. Looks similar to maybe cotton candy algae, but darker red rather than pink.
  2. Ive got a few used MH bulbs, and a brand new 'Power Aquarium' 150w 14k bulb I bought off eBay which is probably closer to a 10k. It was supposed to be PlusRite, but they sent a different brand. They work fine, I have one on my cube right now. $10 for the new one, I'll just give you a used one if you want.
  3. I love Coral RX. And you know a coral is fresh from the ocean when you dip it and see bugs you can't identify die off.

That stuff is AWESOME! I use it all the time for my corals, when I bought corals. . .

  4. Updated FTS shot. One of my T5 ballasts went out a month ago (Tank had 6 x 54w T5 + VHO Actinics). I was planning on building a new hood and stripping the guts from a dual 250w MH coralife fixture and making it MH + Actinic LEDs, but didn't have the time. So this is just the stock Coralife Fixture with dual 250w MH and PC actinics/10k supplemental bulbs. Been over a month and everything is doing fine. You would think going from 324W of T5 with no reflectors to 500W MH + PC supplementals something would bleach.
  5. came....looked.... was disappointed... left
  6. Sweet tea is an abomination before the lord. It should be illegal.
  7. I assume this is the smaller of the tanks, by the skimmer on the left hiding in the FTS pic.
  8. That sucks. Just shoot John an e-mail. He's usually pretty good about replacing/refunding.
  9. I have a rock urchin that lived in my first saltwater 10gal tank for 4 years, and now lives in his upgraded 28gal cube. I've never fed him anything in particular. I assume he eats coraline off the rocks and detritus? I've tried pencil urchins more than once in my 55gal that would die after just a couple months, so I don't know why the rock urchin has lived so long with nothing special.
  10. I know RCA has a pretty decent sized one thats been there over a week. He's pig and eats any food they put in the tank.
  11. Nice seeing everyone again, and meeting quite a few new people. It was great to finally meet you Patrick. Thanks for your very generous Macro algae and pods. Your cevice was awesome. I am really looking forward to the crawfish boil. Thanks to Dave & Robin for hosting as well.
  12. Almost had quite the hot night! - Always remember whats plugged into which strips. Water heater + box of equipment == Melty plastic.

  13. I have mine on my sandbed and they do fine as long as mommaclown doesnt mess with the sand. If you were able to get one to attach to a small rock you would be better off with that as an anchorpoint.
  14. I have some of these in my tank and I love them. They can be a little aggressive though and sting corals if they touch them, but tend to split pretty regularly. The color is awesome.
  15. I think at this point I'm about all sold out. I'm only taking Mike Mcd"s with me today as he was the only one who actually said " I will stop by work". The rest of you need to PM me so we can work out tomorrow. I'm not taking bags to work hoping people will come by. I'll update tomorrow after confirming pickups or picked up. Thanks guys.
  16. I'm taking yours to work with me today. I'll PM you with my number. You can't receive new PMs. PM me and I'll shoot you the info. -C
  17. Sounds great. Let me figure out these other meetings tomorrow night, and I'd love to stop by hopefully around 7 or later. Just to get settled at home and eat dinner and whatnot.
  18. If your'e in CP I can meet wherever. I'm at Parmer/1431. I love seeing others tanks, so if your'e nearby I wouldn't mind delivering.
  19. I'll call you tomorrow when I get home to arrange a time. Shouldn't be a problem though.
  20. Peppermint shrimp 3 for $10. Not selling singles. These guys are all Xtra large and ready to take on your aiptasia or just be nice additions to your tanks. Most of these are almost 2"+ and FAT. I'd prefer to meet up at my work and sell them during the day, than to have to meet people at my house. But we can figure out a good time/place if during the day doesn't work for you. I work in the Arboretum area, and live in Cedar Park.
  21. Congrats! I cant wait to help add to the future members of ARC in June
  22. What do you consider big, and are you looking for just blue or purple/spotted okay?
