57g Illuminata Build

After having my 20g setup for 7 months, I decided to upgrade to a 57g which I got from a member of the club. It will be a SPS dominate mixed reef. I decided to go with 50lbs of dry rock and 50lbs of live rock.

i like the look of it. do you have a screen top to keep that wrasse in the water?

I do not. I feel that jumping fish is more dependent on the size of the tank and if anything is bothering the fish. It's been 3 months and the wrasse and Goby haven't jumped. All the fish get along real well.

Looks good. Curious why you have a light over your live rock section?

I'm guessing that it will help grow beneficial algae and bacteria. I might add some macro algae in the future.

Very nice setup!

Do you run the light in the sump counter to the tank lights? There are some definite benefits to moderating PH swings at nighttime by running the light over your live rock/sump counter to the display tank lights.
