  1. For anyone still interested in ordering I just saw this: Drs Foster and Smith Coupon Codes Clearance Sale: Up to 50% off + extra $5 off Use $5 off coupon code "11318418"
  2. Welcome, you're in the right place (and we're close enough to be neighbors). The closest LFS (Live Fish Store) is the Austin Aquadome, they've got a great selection of stuff. You owe it to yourself to go take a look around. Welcome to ARC!
  3. I love my unit from autotopoff.com, but you'll want to think about using it in a biocube. I ran into this setting mine up last week. The hanger will interfere with the lid of the 29g BC unless you hang it on one of the interior walls.
  4. Yeah, I have acrylic plates and rods in the tank but am not currently using them. When Pug gets back from Vivid we will be doing my aqua-scaping properly. It is 1/2" rod and I have a foot long masonry bit that will be used to bore holes in the rock for the acrylic rod to go through. That should allow me to move pieces later without having to break them apart.
  5. Welcome to the addiction! I second (third, fourth?) - get a bigger tank. I started with a 29. By the time you get all the equipment you'll want to make your life easier you'll have been better of spending it on a larger tank setup. I would say at least 50g. Everyone starts with softies but then you just want more, more, more, and you won't have room for them. A nano is great for a trophy ore exotic little guy that you want to have his own private space.
  6. Very cool fish! and I like his friend too According to the video info the one observing him is a "Crescent Gunnel" Crescent Gunnel info And you'll enjoy this
  7. Mitch, is this primarily for corals or fish? If you're going to have man fish I would open it up a little so they have places to swim through. Otherwise your twin of my tank looks good!
  8. Their site says it's like $65, and I had heard that they just replaced them rather than repairing because it's cheaper for them. This thread makes it sound like that isn't the case?
  9. I've decided to stick with my Icecap and will not be using this in my canopy. My waffling and indecision is your gain! HelloLights Part Number 48254 HelloLights Kit Includes: • Parabolic clip on reflectors (42.5" x 2" x 1") • Universal or Sylvania T5 HO ballast runs 2 lamps (16.75" x 1.25" x 1") • IP67 Moisture Resistant German End-caps • End cap Stand-Offs • 33 ft 18g solid wire • 6 ft grounded power cord Paid $105, will sell for $95. As mentioned this is NEW and never opened.
  10. Any idea when you're going to do this? I'm ready to send mine in now and don't want to wait much longer.

I know that my torch and GBTA didn't get along, so I'd definitely relocate one of them to give each some space and see what a difference it makes. Are you running carbon? Anemones are also very sensitive to chemical warfare by other corals. Carbon will filter these out of the tank and signal an "all clear" for normal behavior from the anemone.
  12. You should find out the actual manufacturer of the tank, but it's almost a sure bet that you can't drill the bottom. Bottoms are usually made of tempered glass which will shatter if drilled.
  13. Pug help me set my ACIII up this past Friday, programming it is very straightforward and the functionality is awesome. I got mine used, fully loaded, on Reef Central for $325 shipped. That came with all three sensors and an 8 outlet plug. I HIGHLY recommend one.
  14. 3 days of darkness followed by a water change, siphoning up all the cyano you can, and adding flow. Adding flow can be achieved with more powerheads, rearranging rock so that flow from the powerheads is not blocked, and cleaning your powers heads.
  15. I think your problem is that you're putting the glue on the frag, then putting it into the tank to mash up against your rock. Instead try gluing it to a frag or piece of rock outside of the aquarium. Then wedge the plug or rock into your live rock in the tank. Alternatively, get some reef epoxy and make a small plug of it. Superglue your frag to that plug, then add a little more fresh epoxy and push it into a depression or hole on your live rock. When you put super glue into water it will create a skin over the bubble of glue. Sometimes you can get it onto your LR quick enough to pop the bubble and make it stick, but often you can't.
  16. Just dry goods or livestock too?
  17. Here's my shot, my duncans are one of my favorites:
  18. I'll be selling my 29g as soon as my 90g is up and running. PM me if you want details.
  19. I can't make it today, I'm stuck at work until 6 and then have to attend my son's football game in Kyle. Mark is coming to my place in the morning, though, so I'll see if he can swing by.
  20. Pm'd a few of you, the 90g has a lot of dry rock. I'm adding more LR, but any donations or trades would be appreciated. I'll be happy to pay it forward or give you an IOU on frag trades later.
  21. Ditto. I think there is an autotopoff.com group order still building. Highly recommended
