  1. So I purchased this wrasse at Aquatek last weekend and for the life of me I can't remember his type. Anyone know the name?
  2. Welcome, I'd recommend going with a bigger tank as well. I've got live sand available whatever you end up getting (and a 29g tank/light/skimmer setup if you just want to buy an all inclusive system).
  3. Jeremy and I met and picked up the reefcleaners order this am, it's on the way to Mark's house. Sadly the vast majority of critters did not make it, and several looked like they were barely hanging on. My 25 hermits were completely DOA. I'm contacting John about the order but you may each want to do so individually.
  4. Really sorry to hear about the layoffs, but it could turn out for the best. I'll see if I can help. My company is hiring software engineers, architects, and project managers. We are primarily a Microsoft shop utilizing dotNet (C#) and MSSQL. We do have a few programs that are Linux/Eclipse/Java based. I am more than happy to refer in good candidates. PM me with actual contact info and I'll give you my personal email to send resumes to. We are located south (Southwest Parkway and Mopac) so please be aware there would be a commute, the company does provide the ability to telecommute. Mike
  5. If you have hermits then he must have just died. Between them and the brittle stars something dead won't last long.
  6. Yeah, they have a "3-sided" option that they say is good for the powerheads.
  7. Yeah, amazing how crowded it became thus necessitating the 90. Guess a 250 is in my future, but only if I buy the stand and canopy.
  8. What's the issue with the crab?
  9. I've finally made the transition from my 29g to my 90. No LR included though I will give the live sand with various critters and snails to whomever buys the tank. I have the following for sale, all used but ages denoted: 7 month old Current USA 30"Sundial T5 High Output Lighting 4X24 WATT (Part #: CU01151) $175 29g Tall Aquarium with metal stand $75 (back painted blue) Emperor 400 Power Filter $35 CPR BakPak2 with 1 mo old Accela Pump and BAK-PAK™ Bubble Trap $75 The tank is still up and running with live sand and lots of coraline growth. The emperor is being used as a fuge with LR rubble and a mangrove in it. No LR. You can make offers for parting out but I reserve the right to sell as a package first. I'm looking for $300. Pics are from when it was new, the back and sides have a lot of pink/purple coraline growth now. Thanks for looking.
  10. So what kind of setup was this that a Truck from outside the airport could make it in far enough to damage a tank in the airport? Was it on an external wall? I also thought that for a $1500 tank to only lose $3-5k in fish seemed like an awfully low estimate. Either way, very sad.
  11. So it looks like they tried to deliver to my place yesterday and left a note for pickup at my local office. I didn't get the notice until after 9, though, so I didn't pick it up yesterday. The Post Office is closed today. My plan is to go first thing tomorrow morning to get the package and try to get it up to Mark's house for distribution. We can individually let John @ Reefcleaners know what did and didn't make it. Anyone south want to serve as courier to get the box up to Mark? Mike
  12. That's my zip code, and yes I did have a pink slip in my mailbox yesterday. I received this note from John this am: Hi Michael, there is a major problem with the group buy shipment. Unfortunately because of the weather here (heavy wind gusts yesterday), the plane with your packages never left the ground and the package is still in West Palm Beach. The serpents, brittles, emeralds and hermits will not make it. The Chitons and limpets may, the snails and macros should be fine. Your area should have holiday shipment with Express Mail, so it may arrive tomorrow, but I can't be sure, and the post office is closed to calls. Keep me posted on the outcome, and we will proceed from there. I sincerely apologize for this trouble, and will update the group buy members at this time. John

    PVC

Depends on the bulb and if it's single-end or double-end. Single-ends don't need a UV barrier, some double-ends do.
  14. Chrispar, If it's gone I'm about to have a lot of GSP from the breakdown of my 29. It's spread from the rock to the glass so there should be several pieces available.
  15. If this order makes, I'd be up for: T-5 Waterproof EndCaps-pair [T5-09-LHT5S] $8.06 x2 T-5 Mounting brackets- Pair [T5-09-LHM5] $4.04 x2
