bump for the weekend

Other option is prepare to do a large water change, drop the water level in the tank by 50%. You'll drastically cut away any escape routes and will be able to corner him much easier.

A while back I saw a website selling custom made clam cradles, but can't find the link anywhere. Anyone have this?

If you use Google Maps DO NOT take it's advice and come up Rancho Alto from the south side (via 1626). The road is destroyed at that intersection and is really rough on your car. Look forward to seeing everyone.

That's really funny that this came up, day before yesterday I saw a really big one out during the middle of the day, probably 3" or so. I was surpried because they usually only hang out in the dark...maybe when they get bigger they are braver If anyone wants a couple of these for thier tank I can hook them up. I've had them since day 1 and I'm 99% sure they are reef safe.
I'd love to have one or two. You coming to the meeting tomorrow?

Keep in mind if you do feed silversides to only give small pieces. I was originally overfeeding mine with too big of a piece and the BTA struggles with it. You should only be feeding them pieces approx the same size as the mouth. I've found mine have a harder time expelling the waste from a large feeding.
The benefit to target feeding is that you should see faster growth/faster splits, but it shouldn't be required.

I spoke to Hunter at AquaDome and they are running a deal on CUC (incl. hermits, snails, urchins, sea hares, algae eating true crabs) if you buy more than $50. Not sure about our other sponsors.
-
Check with Mark, I know he can point you to a good deal on them as well.

All of mine move daily, meaning that their foot stays in the shade but they each retract at night. Totally normal. If you find it cruising all over your tank then you need to worry, especially if you have powerheads that it can get into.

Timfish what tangs do you think are the least aggressive? My purple, black, and hippo tang are super laid back. I've seen aggressive behavior from yellows, convict, scopas, and sailfins. I think that powder blues are pretty easy going as long as there isn't another similiar body type.
My purple and Kole tang are ultra laid back, though my previous purple was mean (of course he was at least 2x bigger than any other fish).

Works for me, not too late for me to jump in is it?
-
Obviously the IRS didn't find the tank a "reasonable and justifiable" expense since being a stock broker and a fish tank aren't related.
Unless he was running a stock tank.

I was there last night, and man, now I want a tank sufficient for the red octopus!
-
I'm in for a bucket of Coralife.
-
Very nice palys, mine are doing great!

I'm in need of salt and know that several of our sponsors have offered Group Buy rates in the past. Are any of them up for arranging a group buy?
-
Looking forward to having everyone over. Feel free to bring kids, I'll have cartoons playing in the game room.

We're heading up Friday night to spend the weekend with my parents, so carpool is out for me, but I look forward to seeing y'all there.
Derek, I know Stoneroller was interested in going if he could carpool, he lives in Buda so it would be a close pickup.

Makes water changes easy I bet, but how do you attach a skimmer?
-
I can probably help as well.

I know I saw a thread discussing this, but who plans to attend this weekend? I'll be in Dallas so I'm hoping to stop by.

Very cool, I love puffer personalities. You're keeping these in the fuge to your marine tanks? Did you have to acclimate them to the higher salinity?
