so if its a 150W ballast, I can put in a 250W bulb? would it make a difference in the lighting or should I wait to get a new ballast to?

question..... can a 150W bulb and a 250W bulb be put into the same fixture? The reason Im asking is becuase I have a 150W 14K bulb running right now but I wanted to upgrade to a 250W.

ya. i have some one the small white ones but from what Crazy J is talking about they look like the picture i posted but white. my white ones are small stubby things. didnt know if there was a different type of white ones.

do you know what type the white ones are? they are reef safe right?

only my pistol shrimp. he loves to eat them when they get close. but other then that i havent had any problems. they multiply like crazy. i have them all over the place in the rock work. you can see their little arms sticking out all the time. What do the all white microstars look like? picture?

how do you get it to encrust? i have a nice piece that i believe is the same thing. its kind of a green color under the actinic lights. mine doesn't seem to stick down. do I need to glue it or something?

thank you both for the offer. I have already gotten a couple of small frags which is enough for my 29 gallon. once i get my 120 gallon up and going i might ask for some more if you still have them.

Is there anyone who lives south or central austin going to be picking up any of these. I would like about 3 or 4 but cant make it up that way. i work until 6 pm then have 2 dogs to go home and take out.

great looking corals. did you by the 8~9 " Big toadstool lether coral that big already or did it grow? i have one that large as well. mines more of a pickish or brown color. i like your white one.

So I know that people often ask for free stuff on here and it usually because of financial situations. Well I’m asking today for some help as well. I completed my Tax return last night and let me tell you. People work hard to make it and what does the Government keep doing? TAKE TAKE TAKE. Anyways, let’s just say that starting up the 120 gallon RR tank that I just got a great deal on is going to take longer then I thought. I have to pay back close to $1000.00. That’s right; I didn’t add the wrong amount of zeros there. Anyways, I was just looking to see if anyone had anything that they are not using that would help me out in starting up my new tank. I’m going to be sitting this thing up at the end of March after we move so live stuff wont work out right now. I was thinking more of like pumps, lighting, MH ballast, heaters, digital thermometers, timers, etc. Anything will help. I’ll pick it up and move it. Thanks for taking the time to read this and take care.

dont hold you breath with the yellow watchmen and candy striped pistol. I have them in my tank and they dont pair. They have been in there for the past 4 months. the pistol chases the watchmen away all the time so the watchmen stays in the back and the pistol stays under the teal polyp rock.

so i successfully added both of my clown fish into the 29 gallon biocube. Now the problem is they are both hosting the brain coral and cauing it to stay closed up. This was not happening when the small clown was in there by himself. should i be worried or will the brain coral adjust with time to both of them being around it? Also, how do i remove coraline algae from the circulation pump? i got a used one and want to take all the old off before putting it in my tank.

Well I was to late in trying to get a piece so I was wondering if anyone else had some they would be willing to frag, or if you were the one who bought some from the fellow reefer and could spare to let one go please let me know.
