  1. theres not a lot just a few pieces of strans that blew through. will this still grow in the tank? im not sure i can even find it in there anymore.
  2. Is it ok if a little of the cheato gets into the display tank? Little pieces of it went through the bubble trap and into the return pump. Do I need to pick out the little pieces from the tank? Thanks for the help.
  3. I used the same water that I took out of the tank before the move and out it back into the same tank. Ill get my levels checked on the way home. Is B-Ionic good to use on a 29 gallon tank? And should I use a drip method or just b put it in at once? Also, do I need the pumps off for this if I am running a refugium?
  4. i didnt move the tank far. me and my buddy just moved it to another stand in the house. but the water was out for about 15 to 20 mins. its been back up and running for the last 5 days. Im hucking up a refugium and will have it fully going tonight. D you think this will help with the die off?
  5. about how long does it take. Also I have noticed it turning more white as the days go by. Does it usually do this? You know keep turning white then recover.
  6. For the past couple of days I have noticed that my coralline algae is starting to turn while in some places . I have read that it will turn white if it sets outside of the water for a long period of time. I have noticed it more on the power head then anywhere else. This past weekend I took out almost all of the water so that I could move my tank to its new sand. I placed the live rock into a bucket which had the water in it that I took out of the tank; however, I left the power attached and exposed to the air for about 15 min (give or take some). What do you think is happening? Is it dying off becuase of the air? I dont have the water parameters yet becuase I need to get the water tested today. Please let me know what you thank. I have read so many different opinions online but would like to hear yours as well. Thank you.

  11. Well after a month or so of talking and planning I finally got my biocube drilled (thanks to David aka Epic Reef) and my refugium up and going (again thanks to Daivd) but now I need some cheato. Does anyone have some that they are willing to donate or sale? I prefer someone south or central austin since I live south but anything will help. Please let me know thanks.

    Weld-on #16

Does anyone have some of this that I could borrow to install my bubble trap?
  13. Ill try it to see what happens. Thanks for the advice.
  14. Its in the sand bed. the lady I got the biocube from said she had it for about a year. It was her first coral. It was doing good and standing up until about 2 weeks ago. I got some coral vitamin supplement yesterday to see if it will help. Not sure what else to do.
  15. Water parameters are all at 0. The calcium is setting at 420 and the salinity is at 1.020 which is a little low but everything else is doing good. It's not going through the shedding phase. The LFS told me to check the base to see of it rubs off which I did but didn't really see anything come off. They said it might just be tilting because it wants to. Any ideas as to what might be happening?
  16. I have a toadstool leather coral in my tank that seems to not be doing well. The polyps still come out but it is starting to lay over in the water. Is there anything that I can dose the water with to help it out. Ive been using phytoplankton but is there anything else. Also, I have some purpule digi corl that is not doinf well either. Its turing white. I have It in my 29 gallon biocube with standard lights that came with it. the toadstool is in my 14 gallon biocube.
  17. The toothpick method is the only way I got mine to work. I tried the bridal netting but the xenia died.
