  1. Awesome! I’ve been looking into the octo, lid too. He does really good work Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. What’s that coil thing your heaters are in? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. 16 years! Life goals! [emoji7] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]. But plumbers are so dang expensive! I emptied the sump, lifted it, yet it dry underneath for several hours. Filled it while still sitting on egg cate. Let it sit some more. No water. Emptied it again. Put it on a foam pad. Filled it again and let it sit. Still no water. 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️. At a loss. So, I turned the pump back on and let it run awhile. Still saw no water. Except where it was supposed to be. Lol. I decided to turn the pump off overnight this time bc of evaporation and it’s really too strong to run as is right now. Maybe the slight bit of splashing accumulated enough to make the puddle. Even tho it was on the opposite end of the stand, I guess it’s possible. Who knows. Just wanna make sure ALL the kinks are out before I bring it inside Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Well, I’ve got a tiny leak somewhere. There’s water in the bottom of the stand. None of the piling is wet so I’m guessing it was to be the sump somewhere. [emoji31]. I leak tested it before I put it in. Ugh!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I’m not sure how to post a video, but there is actually water running through those pipes! Lol. Im going to bush down the skimmer outlet and have it dump into the middle chamber. Let it all run for a few day, then I’ll feel confident to move it inside! Woohoo! Finally about to happen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Got my metric unions from coralvue yesterday. One fits and one doesn’t. The 50 mm I only needed the O-ring, so I’ll try a 2-1/4” one from HD. And..... I also flooded my garage last night. [emoji23][emoji23]. I was filling the tank and couldn’t figure out the pump speeds fast enough to compensate for the speed the water was going in, so my sump over flowed. 🤦‍♀️[emoji23]. Oh well, it dried up pretty quick with a big fan and the heat. I’ll try again tonight. But on a positive note, it’s all full! Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I also have some gsp, Xenia, and Kenya tree I’ll share. I’m upgrading tanks and don’t want to move this stuff or the rock. I live in Pflugerville. Pm if you want my address. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]. It belongs on the media reactor to the right in front of the pump. It was just in my way so I set it there. I didn’t want to set it in the floor for fear my female dog would mistake it for a water bottle and chew it up. She likes to chew on bottles Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I was also able to order my metric union for my skimmer and metric to standard adapter from coralvue. Standard shipping was nuts! Hope they throw a frag in there! [emoji23][emoji23][emoji6]. I built a bypass for water changes and to be able to do equipment maintenance, so I’ll be able to put Water on it in a day or two in the garage and leak test some of it [emoji122][emoji122] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks! The fitting I need to tie to the skimmer is a union. All the pipe that came with the tank was so nasty, I just threw it all away. [emoji51][emoji51]. Jumped the gun on that one. I’m going to call BRS and marine depot tomorrow and see what they suggest Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Well, should have googled first. Apparently they’re useless. [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Are there any reasons I can’t put the check valve in the back? And horror stories? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Hey, Jim. As I was dusting Saturday morning thinking to myself how sick I was of dusting around all of the crap on this shelf, I had a great idea!! Bc of your night stand idea, I’ve decided to hang my TV, put doors on this cube shelf, and keep all my fish stuff in here! I can neatly run the cords with a wire saver close to the floor. And even keep my ATO in there. Of course, I’ll have to rework some of the shelving to open it up, but I think it will work! And not have to keep dusting all that crap off! [emoji23] Thanks for the idea. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I do value your input very much. I kick myself a lot for not putting the unions in my water mixing station like you suggested last summer. I will eventually cut those in. Lol. I had the fittings to expand as well. Male adapter and cap, but I just didn’t have the space. I’ve been so wish washy on this manifold bc I didn’t wanna do it and then regret not doing something later, that I’ve been frozen. So, I finally fail F IT!!!!! And just went for what I have here. Lol. I will add one more tee for a simple Water change area, but that’s it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Most likely it is. All the measurements on their website are. It’s bigger than 1/2”, but smaller than 1”. 3/4” didn’t fit. I’ll convert that to metric and see if I can find a match Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. FINALLY decided on a manifold plan. I kept changing my mind. Lol. The first tee will go up and also have a GV and tie into the return into the back. It will act as a bypass. So when I need to maintenance the equipment, I can open the top valve, and close the one showing in the picture. The 90 on the right will also tie into the return in the back creating the loop. If I didn’t explain that right, I’ll have more pictures tomorrow! [emoji23] The tees with the 45’s will go to my UV. I had to do them that way bc I only had 2-5”. Cramped space. Thought about doing the UV vertical, but didn’t like that bc of where my skimmer will be . Also found out by taking my skimmer to Home Depot that the fitting aren’t out standard fittings. [emoji19]. I’ll have to contact deltec and get a union and a transition fitting to fit my skimmer 🤦‍♀️ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Ah well. Too late. Manifold already built! [emoji23]. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Thank you for that! I had to read that three times! [emoji23][emoji175][emoji175] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I read having the ATS off the manifold was basically cleaning clean water. It was best to run a separate pump in the first chamber (“dirtiest”) Water for it to work to its best potential. I wanted to run mine off my manifold as well, but am reworking it to the front of my sump. I have a spare sicce .5 with my ATS have a 2’ head loss. At 280 gph, I’m hoping it will still be enough for the slow trickle required. We shall see. Plus, it’s the perfect footprint for the bubble chamber! Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. 🤮[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]. Speaking of, how big a pump do you run on your ATS? Is it controlled with a valve? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
