  1. Where are u? I don’t have 20 gal. Prolly 15. Am in PF Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I have ecotech in my tank. Thank god. I couldn’t imagine the horror of coming home to my tank covered in the Exxon Mobil spill. [emoji33][emoji33]. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Pump failure was the culprit. So glad I don’t have those in my tank anymore. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Someone on FB also suggested bad pump. I’ve pulled them both out and they’re soaking in vinegar. I’ll take them apart and see if there is damage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. . This is my salt water barrel in my mixing station. Smells like burnt plastic. [emoji31]. What is it? Is the can trash? To be on the safe side, probably. Ugh! Always something Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Thank you. I have. I’m glad it’s over. [emoji23]. Ecotech was able to set up my account, but now my computer won’t allow me to download the stuff I need to run the program. 🤦‍♀️. I’m sure it’s something I’m doing bc I’m very technologically impaired. Lol. So, I’m going to take my computer in today and see if they can help me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. The most exhausting stressful weekend. I’m never upgrading again. Lol. I’m very happy with the results and the fish seem so happy with al the new space! Still have wires and a mess all over the living room floor, but for the next few days, it’s going to sit there. Lol. I got the ATO and sump light hooked up. That’s the important stuff. Still don’t know how to work the radions. Hopefully I can get customer service on the phone today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Yesterday wasn’t perfect, but not a disaster either. I only broke one fitting. Lol. I was tightening the unions on the back once we got the tank in place, and the 1” on the return cracked right in 1/2! So, I had to get a repair coupling and that was fixed quickly. Also, miscalculated my RO/salt making. My brute cans are only 30 gal. Not 50. Oops. I’m up this am filling again and about 3/4 way full I got the lights mounted no problem. The eco tech hanging kit was way cheaper than the arm. It’s very simple to use and looks very good. I’m having a heck of a time even creating an account to be able to control said lights, but I’ll keep trying I’ve lost an urchin, male skunk clown, and my euphyllia are PISSED! The water was pretty cloudy last night in the tub, so I did a small 5 gal Water change. Too early to see if any more fish have died. ☹️☹️☹️☹️. I’ll have them all in their new home today. 9. Correct. There are no slots at all. I think I need to cut them to lower the water level. That will also insure my sump won’t overflow when the power does go out. It will go out again. Lol. I’ll use a cutting wheel on my grinder and cut some today after work. I didn’t get to work on the tank at all last night bc I had a dog emergency and she had to be rushed to the vet. [emoji51]. All is well, and I’ll begin working again tonight Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. It May be very hard to see anything from these pictures. I tried to show how close the top of the box is to the top of the tank. As well as the drains being high, but they will have 90’s on top of them. Do you think 1” slots will be sufficient? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. What about the tub? Will just having rocks and a powerhead be enough? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I have a cordless grinder I could cut the notches in the box with. I also need to make a screen for the overflow to keep my fish from ending up in the sump. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. So, the plan is to swap tanks this weekend! Woohoo! I’ve got a 3-day wkend for Labor Day so that will be perfect! Provided the unions I got for the skimmer work, all will be ready! Yay! I got a 100 gal tub to begin transferring everything over. If it’s only going to be for a few days, will some live rock from my tank, a heater, and a powerhead be enough? Or will I need a skimmer/HOB filter/canister? I’ve encountered a problem though. The bulkhead for my return line is 4” below my water surface. I thought I could build a tee and put in locline on both sides, keep them angled somewhat high, and that would be my siphon break. Well, I tested that theory last night, and it didn’t work. I’m not sure if the tee is leaking by bc it’s not glued in, or the actual locline fittings are bleeding by. Either way, my sump isn’t big enough to hold that much water. Because my overflow box is so high, my water lever is at the tip top of my tank. Could I put notches in the box and lower the water level some? Suggestions? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Can you dip them? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Are those the felt type socks? How do you plan to clean those? I guess the bigger ones would be easier to turn inside out than the 4”. I switched to the nylon ones for my upgrade. Gonna see if those work better. Someone told me they’re a lot easier to clean Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. This is SO me in my garage doing my upgrade! There is stuff everywhere! All my pile and fittings are black and red. All my tools are Milwaukee, also black and red. Including my tape measure. It begins to all blend together and I can’t find anything! Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. What’s the tub? Is it being currently used? I need to find something to hold all my critters while I swap tanks.... hopefully Labor Day wkend Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I have one that was given to me and it’s just been sitting in my garage. It’s not a BRS one, but you’re welcome to it. I’ll take pix when I get home. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Wylie Coyote. Pure D Genius! You had me at beer fridge... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
