    Yikes...not good to hear. I think I'm definitely running a UV on all my tanks going forward. When stocking the 66g I didn't have one outbreak of anything. Cross my fingers...6 months in and everyone is happy and healthy. Actually today I'm switching out the old one which will go on the new tank and installed the new one on the 66g. Doing the switch only because BRS quit selling the 18w so had to go with the 25w and it's YUGE!!!! The old one will fit nicely behind the sump in the stand of the new tank.

    I went through the same thing using Vibrant. I had the short hairy algae on a majority of rocks. It took a little over 4 weeks and my tank was completely clear...luckily I don't have any grazers. And as reported cyano appeared about mid way through the treatment. I saw an article on Red Slime Stain Remover. I ordered some and one dose of that took care of the cyano in less than a week or so. So cool seeing so many tangs is a great big tank like that.

    That's odd that you're seeing the same issues again. Are any aerosols being used anywhere in the house? Do you think this is something that slowly builds up over time or something that happens over a short period of time?

    Same here...I'd been thinking about making some changes and after seeing the two IM 25g lagoon tanks recently posted my journey / project took a bit of a turn. :-) Thanks for the inspiration! :-)
