  1. Just got my Artfully Acrylic lid and it's another perfect fit!
  2. Two MP60s and two WP40 Jaebo pumps... Gotta give the fish a good workout. My first thought was "that's probably what it would look like for a human to be caught outside in a hurricane!"
  3. Man, you've got some flow going through that tank!
  4. What counts is it's definitely getting the job done!
  5. WOW...and what kind of lights are you running?
  6. John, what kind of par are you seeing near the top and at your sand bed?
  7. wow...that plate looks great! I may have to scour the internet to find me one!
  8. I think I'm almost done...just waiting on the lid that should be here mid week next week. Last couple of things to do is connect the UV and algae reactor.
  9. Yeah, they did that to balance the fixture. Lots of people have complained about that but it doesn't bother me. Gotta get the powercords all prettied up today.
  10. Ummm...yeah, just don't look behind the curtain!
  11. Glad to see the clowns...and everything else doing well...and yeah...great pictures.
  12. Ha...I doubt I could ever reach your level of expertise.
  13. Sure! Maybe I just need to start a consultation business!
  14. Yeah it is...hopefully getting it tested in the next day or two. Most of the light is from the T5s
  15. LET THERE BE LIGHT! Very impressed so far. It looks bluer in the picture than it is in person. I put two blue +, one coral + and one actinic in it.
  16. Things are finally starting to move along again. Last weekend I moved my 3 Blue Eyed Cardinal into the tank and they're doing great. Mon / Tues the uglies started...algae everywhere. I moved the Yellow Eye Kole into the tank this morning. Hopefully he'll help with the algae! Finally got my Omega 180i skimmer running. I'd tested it a coupe of weeks ago and discovered the pump was making a vibrating noise. I contacted Vertex about buying a new pump. They had me send pics of the pump and the impeller and while I was taking pics I noticed the butt end of the impeller shaft was chipped in 3 places making it a triangle rather than round. Luckily that was all that needed to be replaced. What sucks is I got the replacement and when I was inserting it into the pump I wasn't ready for the strong pull of the magnets so it slipped out of my fingers. I had a bad feeling...pulled it out and sure enough it had chipped!!!! I went ahead and tested with it and of course more vibrating. Can't someone invent a stronger ceramic shaft?!?!?!?! So, my 2nd new impeller arrived this past week. I made sure I had a good grip on that little sucker this time! Skimmer is now in the sump and breaking in. BRS finally got their shipment of Aquatic Life Hybrid fixtures!!!!!! Mine will be here on Wed so I figured I'd hold off on any pics of the tank until then.
  17. When I start new tanks I always put my sand in first then add RO/DI and mix the salt in there. Never had any issues.
  18. Looks like you're making great progress! Great pic of the Naso.
