  1. Wow...great looking tank and aquascaping!
  2. I put them in a small tupperware bowl filled with rubble and wait till they get happy with the spot they found. Keep them in a low flow area...lots of flow will cause them to wonder.
  3. DOH...it's always a crap shoot.
  4. wow...nice cabinet / sump setup!

  8. That was quite the epic career there Jimbo. [emoji6] At least I can say I went out on top. While I was in the ER my team won the playoff!

  10. Wonder which is the key word there...criminal or mastermind?
  11. instead of putting the four drops in the water sample I put them in the bottle of solution or whatever it's called...bottle with the red cap.
  12. Doing my testing yesterday while watching Price is Right. Opened a new box of alk test. Did the 4 drops and swirled for a bit, set everything down to turn my ro off that was filling the ATO. Picked up the sample container and looked at it and noticed it's not a greenish color like it normally is...even held it up to the light...it was crystal clear. I thought what the hell...something is wrong. That's when I noticed the top off the solution already...yep...looked in the bottle and it had a greenish tint to it!!!! **** YOU PRICE IS RIGHT!!!!
  13. Perfect, I found one last night on one of the bottom base rocks!
  14. Is this what I can use to make a kalk paste for aptasia?
  15. The inside of that stand looks more like an experiment you'd see in a lab.
  16. I'm not exactly sure how the HOB work but are you able to set one up as an emergency overflow and have water go down it only it the water level got too high then you could restrict your main overflow to match the pump output.
  17. ah...that's the issue then. the drain pipe can handle more than the return pump is pushing into the tank. two solutions: 1 - buy bigger pump, 2 - put a valve on it. I've always had valves on all of my drain lines.
  18. I'm not familiar with HOB's. Two questions...is the noise from water falling into the box? I can't tell from your pics, do you have any type of valve on the drain to slow down the amount of water that leaves the HOB which would raise the level of water in the box?
  19. Yeah, is it loud where the water falls into the overflow or loud where it empties into the sump?
