I hate to say this, I was checking out my tank today and the 1 spot that always has a little cyano had all cleared up. Dunno why. Just like magic. It'll prolly come back.

you may have high co2 in your tank (cyano needs it) you could also try sugar instead of vodka, as vodka can cause cyano some times.

Same issue and i went with a major clean up crew before the damage got out of hand. Sorry for the lost.

Man that sucks....Also willing to lend a hand or donate a few frags to get you going again.

make sure if you get a LCD to get a 1080P version with a refresh rate of atleast 120hz. If you go lower the picture isnt as nice.

How are you taking the water out of the tanks? I started using a shop vac and it has drastically decreased my time.

I was a small powerhead and a good lenght of hose to pump the 40-45 gallons out of the 150 into a 55 gallon drum. That is pumped to the toilet with another length of hose and the same powerhead. I mix the salt for the 150 in a 55 gallon drum with a contraption I built using a mag 5 pump. I mix 12 gallons in a 15 gallon drum with a small powerhead. I remove the water from the 58 using the same method for the 150, and pump in the new salt with a smaller power head.

lol, I just had a similar problem...just realized a sump under a 220g is a little too tall and I couldn't pour 5g jugs in....need to prepare to pump water.
