Tried that, but didn't seem to work for me. The Apstasia-X seals the mouth of the anemone shut, thus preventing it from releasing larvae when threatened.

I agree with the others, looks like along tentacle anemone to me ... and it looks awesome! I knew I should have got one with the group order today...

I have resorted to chemical warfare with my aptasia problem. I bought a bottle of Aptasia-X, and it has been working pretty well. A bunch of anemones died after the first treatment, and the others I just keep treating about once a week or so till they die. BTW, I have a bunch of peppermints in my tank, but they weren't touching the anemones at all either.

This is really the best advice. You should see either way in a few days if it is going to make it. I would say as long as they have a grip on the rock, then things are heading in a good direction.

I agree, all of the sub forums are probably a bit overkill to start with. But possibly a few, one for fragging, one for growth, etc. Let's see what the boss man says in a few days.

While I like the name for it's uniqueness, I would think we need a more generic name. I envision this new section to not only cover coral fragging, but live food rearing, macro algae growth (looks towards subsea ), etc.

Anyone can do it, just use the "[media]" tag like this: [media][url="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cb9N3QyV3bc"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cb9N3QyV3bc[/url][/media] As far as becoming a Premium Member, you can click on the "Subscriptions" tab at the top of the page and it will step you through the process (I believe you can pay via PayPal that way). Or you can talk to Dave and Robin at the next meeting and pay them there. Your membership card can be picked up at a meeting or mailed to you.

Here is a link to the article Dave references for the above values. If I read this right, the main difference between reef crsytals and read sea is the alk. So is higher or lower alk better? -

What kind of live food are you feeding it? If it is goldfish, then I would really start working on getting it to eat frozen food. Goldfish (and other freshwater fish) are bad in the long run as they are not a natural food for them to eat, thus they tend to eventually get fat.

I think there are a few people on here that are currently keeping dwarf lions. But from my past experience: Don't touch the top spines, as they are poisonous Did you see it eating in the store? Some will only start out eating live food at first. But can be trained to eventually eat frozen food. They will probably try to eat anything that will fit into their mouths... and sometimes things even larger.
