  1. Hmm... Better secure all your outside hoses, I think aquaman is coming over to hose down the road Actually, it is quite dark here right now in SW Austin... might get a little rain.
  2. Hey, DD is a smart advertiser
  3. Those sound good. Though at first I thought leopard were not reef safe, but LiveAquaria says they are (but they also list them as "Expert Only Care" for some reason??). The mysteries are nice, but out of my price range for a fish
  4. Ok, time to listen to some music and get some work done. Gonna start with the Lead Sails Paper Anchor album by Atreyu. And drinking iced coffee (homemade).
  5. Oh, BTW, the dome had a beautiful pink capped wrasse for a mere $89 It had the colors of a pink square anthias. Orangy pink body, with a hot pink "cap" on it's head.
  6. I have heard it helps to add multiple wrasses at once, that way one does not get a chance to set up a territory. With that said, I did not have a problem adding by blue sided fairy wrasse to my tank, which had an existing six line. And my six line must be the exception ... he does not pick on the other fish. He will hold his ground when the stupid damsels try to bully him, but he has been model tank citizen. The only time I have seen him get aggressive is when he sees his reflection in glass.
  7. Return Of the King movie (it has music). And Diet Root Beer. And I am here. I see you have another programming request
  8. Add your name to this thread and Dave, our meeting coordinator, will put you on the list.
  9. Wow .. great picture there Gabe! I can never get my fish to hold still long enough
  10. Wrasses are pretty colorful, and swim all over. My six line is super active in my tank, and my blue sided fairy wrasses checks out the tank, but is not quite as active as the six line.
  11. Nice looking tank. I really like the freestanding rock islands in the middle. Do you have fish in the tank too? Lots of swimming room for them
  12. They are very soothing. When our daughter was just a few months old, she loved to sit in her swing and watch the fish tank... so much so she would fall asleep. She still loves watching it, but now that she is mobile (9.5 months old), there are plenty of other things to explore in the house
  13. Bu.. bu.. but I am not ready to upgrade my 75 gallon yet! Now how come I didn't think about the put the 24g in the nursery line
  14. I would say yes ... unless you really like them If they are curly q anemones, they will most likely spread.
  15. Yes there is. If you go to post that started the thread, click Edit, then click USe Full Editor (or something like that), you can edit the thread title.
  16. Which one? The top left most polyp (the whitish one) looks like a pest anemone, almost like a curly queue (Same with the bottom right most). The two in the middle look like zoanthids.
  17. I somewhat agree with your proposed method. I can understand the possible frustration of looking through a multi-page thread only to find the order has already been made. But I unsure of the recommendation to create multiple threads for one order... that seems to me to only complicate the issue more. I will throw out another alternative. Maybe we could institute where the thread originator updates the thread title to include the status of that group buy, such as: [Open] Vivid Order #5000 [Ordered] Vivid Order #4999 [Delivered] Vivid Order #4998 [Closed] Vivid Order #4997 That way comments about how the order went and pictures can all be kept together. I would even volunteer my time to update the more recent threads with the [Closed] tag, if that was a path we all decided to go down.
  18. Pretty much Zarathustra2 has all of the tips. I recently changed the bulbs in my MH, and I cut my lighting schedule in half. I am upping it by an hour each week. So far most everything seems happy with it. Though I have two Acan's I am watching, as they are not happy ... yet two others are just fine.
