Candy Cane continues to improve. The gaping hole that was once in it's flesh is almost completely closed now. I imagine another couple weeks it'll seem like the event never happened.

Yeah the crab is kind of a last resort. I don't want to have to catch it later when it starts snacking on my zoas.

Turbo's are slowly grazing on this stuff. Though I'm afraid it's so embedded in the rock it'll continue to grow back and need re-grazing frequently. Today I tried to torch it on one piece of LR. I used a cigar torch on a few longer pieces until it started glowing red (overkill!)... we will see if those patches die off and stay gone or not.

Trying to rid myself of gelidium before it really takes hold of my rock. It's not feasible for me to try and remove the rock to singe it like some folks have luck with.

I would imagine your mandarin starved to death? They require pods unless you can pellet train them... though I have no idea the condition of your live rock to foster pod growth.

The firmware update is done via GUI, there's just a problem with Mac's seeing the Apex if there's no ARP entry on the Mac side. I'm not sure if a fix is coming for this or what. Apparently this is non issue in windows. Go figure.

I've read about the ARP message over on RC, I can't remember the fix right now. And yes, you should not try to update over a wireless bridge. It's not supported and sounds like it doesn't work well. If it's giving you a command to insert the apex mac address` into your arp table just run it from terminal.

It should be automatic, but if your cookies have set you to view the full version you'll need to clear your cookie cache. Problem is that logs you out of everything that's cookied prior. I wish you could chose which cookies to clear out.

Monti frag looked like possible RTN. The flesh had pulled away from the skeleton so I cut it past the tissue damage. Now this little frag is even smaller. whew.

sea hare is dead. also looks like one of my small superman monti frags is bleaching out at one end. It had fallen off my rock (not glued down yet) and today half of it is kinda bleached out. :/

Color me interested. Can you put some pics up? That must be a pretty big stand to fit a 48x12x12 sump.

I am not sure if he's gotten smaller or I am used to seeing him now. There is still plenty of GHA to eat but should I be feeding it something else too? Tonight 3 nassarius snails were riding on it's butt. I am not sure if they were after him or his freshly produced dingleberries. Anyone have thoughts to share?
