  1. Chris, if your GBTA really looks that bright green with yellow ends, i will buy it from you.....
  2. I have been running BPs for 10 weeks now and am still trying to get my nutrient levels down. Although I don't run many SPS, I do load my tank with more fish than most reefs so I want to extract that extra bio load. I am still trying to dial my nutrients down though as I still have algae problems... I have heard very positive things about BPs so that is why I am trying them.
  3. Has anyone ordered online from PetSolutions? What was your experience with them?

i've ordered several items from them, including the deepblue aquatics frag tank Im using. good prices, fast shipping. The weird thing is, the tracking numbers seem to get updated slower than the delivery of the package!

Belinda and I ordered from them. Great service.

I've ordered from them as well. Drs. Foster and Smith and Petsolutions are usually $1-2 off in price from eachother. Both have fast shipping and good customer service. I have ordered live goods from Petsolutions before and they were great. One coral didn't make it and they sent me a new one at no additional shipping.

  4. ok, I will text you when I get off work and see what the status is...
  5. Chris, is this still on at 5pm? I can't show up until 6:30 or so, if you are pushing it until then let me know, other wise I suspect it will be loaded by then if you start at 5pm.
  6. I started with 2 RBTAs and eventually had 8 additional clones. Out of the 8 clones, 1 came out quarter sized and is now about triple that. So extremely small clones can occur.
  7. Yes, plexiglass is fine, that is what I used (1/4") . For the spacing between baffles, a CD case may be too thin, but it depends on how much flow you are wanting for your water... You will be more limited the thinner you go. If you do a little wider than you have more flexibility in flow rate...

    ID please

I agree with Brooks and Ty, it looks to be Frogspawn or Hammer. I had some babies come off an older coral that looked exactly like that when they were small. Now they are clearly Frogspawn in my tank.
  9. Is the fish still eating and active? If so, I have been successful in getting rid of ich by feeding with food that has a few drops of Garlic Extract or Garlic Xtreme (by Kent) with it. Ich is a immune system parasite... If the fish is healthy and still eating, strengthening the immune system can fight off the parasite. This meaning small regular feedings, water changes to keep water quality stable and keeping the fish under as least stress as possible. Or if it is a severe case of ich or you can and want to treat for it, Jestep has given you the QT details...
  10. Does anyone know of an honest and good Roofing company? The high winds have blown a small section of my shingles off and I need them replaced tomorrow when the wind dies down.

Call Tony Craft from Craft Roofing. He replaced our roof after the '09 hail storm. He's based out of Williamson County. My realtor recommended him and I was pleased with his work. Good guy.

My husband owns one. Laursen Roofing 487-4906. Several realtors in the area use him because they know he does good work at a reasonable price. If you have any questions, PM me :)

  11. If it is plastic, why don't you just buy another equivalent one? Also you can buy a used 55g and silicone in baffles and you should be under $100... It has worked great for me. If you have questions on how to do this, let me know...
  12. Yes, I purchase mine at Wal-mart.

Ian, I will buy a frag of the pink/purple chalice.

    Hippo tang

As he starts to associate you with feeding, he will over time become use to you and not run and hide. I have 3 Hippos in my 180g and they seem to just be naturally a little skidish even after 15 months in my tank... They now only run for cover when I actually have my hand in the tank, but they are the first of all the fish to do so.
  15. I used 1/4" acrylic like you would glass and I have a dsb and 1 chamber full or live rock and I have not had a problem in mine. I may have used thicker acrylic than you though.
  16. I used Acrylic (from Lowes) for my 55g sump and used Silicon to adhere it to the glass and have not had any problems with it. Going on 1.5 yrs in the sump. I have 3 baffles and don't have to worry about a rock falling against it and breaking it.
  17. I am not sure if Oceanic has made tanks that large with Tempered glass, I would try contacting them if you can't easily determine using the polarized sunglasses approach.
  18. PM responded. I can make a few more if anyone wants some.
  19. Have you thought about Euro Bracing it as an option? That would leave the center open but give the front panes added strength against failure...
  20. Yes, I can make several of these for anyone that wants them.
