  1. From what I have read (have not used geissman) they are good bulbs, but the PAR compared to ATI isn't quite as high for a comparable bulb.
  2. If you change out the AB special with a coral plus or KZ new gen your colors will be much better IMO.
  3. No I have not found anyone that does carry the 48" ATI in town, but BRS has em and reef geek has some good prices as well.
  4. The 2 blue plus, purple plus, and coral plus is a nice combo, I ran something similar for about a year and liked it. But I prefer the bluer look and do prefer the 3 blue plus. If you are looking for less blue the combo you suggested will be good. If you like the bluer look then I would def suggest the 3 blue plus with either a purple or coral plus with my prefrence being the coral. Yeah the AB special washes out real bad. My fixture has 48" 54 watt bulbs and yes I believe that the 65g is the same footprint as a 55g only a few inches taller. $ should be powreful enough for a 65g the extra depth I don't think would cause any problems, may just have to move SPS up a little.
  5. Purple plus is a nice bulb. The coral plus according to ATI's website is a mix of the blue plus, ab special, and purple plus. It is a really nice bulb and for me I would pick it over the purple plus. But you could get a nice looking combo with 3 blue plus and a purple plus as well.
  6. I have been very happy with this combo on my tank, and yes it will grow sps. I have a 55 and keep sps and clams on my sandbed. This combo gives the tank a nice blue look. What look are you looking for more blue or white?
  7. Like wesreyn said look at replacing the aqua blue with the coral +, the 3 blue + and 1 coral + is pretty blue, but it looks really good when all 4 bulbs are on. It is what I am running on my tank right now, and I really like it. The other option would be the kz new generation bulb it is similar to the coral +, but a little more expensive. IMO I would stay away from the ab special, it really does wash things out. Hth
  8. Cool, two rooms dedicated to fish... That's pretty sweet, wish my wife could be that understanding I don't have any advice in the way of breeding clowns (as I have never done it), but looks like you have some pretty good setups there with some pretty sweet fish. looking forward to seeing the pictures when you post em, and seeing how the project unfolds...

  10. Nice!! You should keep the 100 and make it an even 4 tanks..... Just sayin.
  11. Thanks Robb!!! The great part about it was they could have easily just sold me the $149.99 pondmaster 9.5 (which from everything I could find is the exact same pump as the mag 9.5, except for the 18ft cord) but they suggested I bring the pump in and try the impeller assembly first.
  12. Mike, that is correct. They were great too, they had me bring the pump in, replaced the impeller assembly and tested the pump to ensure that was the problem.
  13. Thanks everyone for the responses!!! ARC y'all are awesome!!!! I did talk to Shane but all he had was an 18, which is way to big for my 55. Luckily, I found a pond supply store in Cedar Park that carries repair parts for the Danner pumps, so a new impeller assembly later and the ole pump is back in business.... phew.... dodged that bullet. But hey if anyone does need to repair a mag pump, that is way cheaper than buying a new one. Lastly I just want to thank everyone again for the responses, seriously this is a great club we've got here!!!
  14. Anyone have or know of someone who has a mag 9.5 I could borrow or buy??? Doesnt seem like any of the LFS have them in stock....
  15. The new red sea kits are pretty easy to read and they have refills available so you don't have to buy a new kit every time. Been using their Alk, Ca. and Mg kits and they are pretty consistent. For phosphates, IMO you can't beat the hanna checker.
  16. Hmmm now there's an idea, especially for the neighbors we don't like.....
  17. Interested in the Miami hurricane, bubble gum look a like, and red planet if still available? And maybe a few more....
  18. Don't know if this is the right place to post this? Just replaced my bulbs on my T5 fixture and now I have a box full of old bulbs. I thought that Home Depot recycled fluorescent tubes but they only take cfl's.... So where do y'all take you old fluorescent tubes? Is there some where nearby that recycles these??? Thanks
  19. Looking for a frag of purple or red cap... Thanks
  20. $15 anyone? Will trade for frags too, tell me what you have.... Really need to find this fish a new home.
  21. Thank you for the offer, but I am not looking to add a maroon clown to my tank.
  22. Bump for a very pretty Ocellaris Clown...
