  1. Following along but can't stop watching the guy sliding...
  2. Everything is in the sump now. In the refugium I have cheato and a chocolate chip sea star. The flow from the frag section and skimmer return provide the tumble for the cheato. The only problem I've had is my yellow banded brittle sea star houdinid into the refugium one day and helped himself to a chocolate chip leg.
  3. If you were looking for cerameco type rocks I do plan on making my own soon for my tank if you want custom pieces made. My Aqua C never really pulled much out of my tank until I started vodka dosing. Now I'm looking at a gallon of green tea every month. I do have GFO and GAC in my fluval though since I perfer to have crystal clear water in my tank.
  4. I would recommend having the inlet pipes go all the way down to about 2" of the bottom so the bubble will rise. If you have the inlet at the top then you will have way too much noise and all sorts of salt spray everywhere. I wouldn't put LR and just keep it with a DSB and macro. With my 55g sump I had enough room for a bubble trap, predator tank w/ Frag station, refugium, and return section with skimmer. Since you have to go HOB look up a modified durso standpipe. It works the best and keeps it the quietest.
  5. I also am interested with an empty tank ready of it becomes available.
  6. 2 days of armpit deep pulling of the macro algae Dictyota completed. Filter media replaced. Sea Hare added. On the bright size I found a mini carpet anenome hiding behind a rock that I thought was a goner.

  7. If your phosphate levels are high and your still experiencing a GHA problem then that could be a culpret as well. My corals looks bad but now that I tackled the algae issue I'm getting out of control grown. Check your return pump filter and skimmer collection cup.
  8. Tank is looking good. I just got a new d5100 myself but my tank is being overrun by some macro algea so you'll see some help post soon on what I can do to get rid of it then i'll post updated pics of mine.
  9. Lost my yellow tang mysteriously. Saw him one day then the next my brittle star had a pile of bones he was muching on.

I went through that exact same situation a few months ago. She was eating like a pig the night before, too. My condolences...

  11. I've never heard of using water from an established tank for a water change. I have always used RO/DI and a bucket of salt mixed for 24hrs. Wouldn't used water have a lot of the nutrients extracted such as Cal and Alk and other trace elements needed and potentially have bad stuff as well?
  12. No the tank from the frag swap is a 5g that I use as my ATO. I rescued this tank from a friend that was going to chuck it and traded her an led moon light for it but I'm fine with just a frag.
  13. Looks like your feeding everything sterroids! What do you plan on putting in next?
  14. Who's participating in ROT?

I am thinking about riding my Big Ruckus down there.

  15. I have a duncan available for $20. It's even starting to grow another head as you can see in the pic. Brown Monti Cap $10 (I even have a magnet I can throw on it so you can mount it on your back wall) Radioactive zoas $15 (20+ heads) Orange Zoas $10 I live SE by the Airport and work off Mopac and Duval
  16. Recommended minimum for tangs is 90 so thats my vote.
  17. No leaks. Light works. Available for sale or trade for LPS. Perfect for freshwater, ATO, or QT. Located SE Austin by Airport.
  18. I'll be in Corpus by the coast from the 26th to the 3rd. Wonder what I'll find...

  20. Thought you wanted a blue ring octopus? I like my yellow banded brittle sea star. Gallery of Pets has two green brittle stars for cheap.
  21. Yea I wouldn't worry about it. I have 2 condis and both shrivle up to next to nothing then the next day their fully streatched. I've even had them totally disappear in the LR only to reappear a week later in a new spot.

Sorry Bio³ but bluemoon74 ended up with it. I just can't have anything low flow in my tank or it wrecks havok.
