Have you looked into the newer ATI Coral Plus bulbs. I'm going to replace my aquablues and my purple + for coral plus when I but new bulbs. Supposed to be a little more Par and a better color. The Aquablues tend to wash out colors but the coral plus is supposed to make colors pop.

I would take it back or give it to someone else before it dies. 3 weeks is not near long enough, in my opinion, for an anemone. 3 months would be more like it. I wouldn't go to that LFS any more.

Thanks guys. That's a lot of great information. I've checked out LiveAquaria and Cultivated Reef and really like what they have to offer. The Live Aquaria site lists what supplements need to be dosed for each species which is nice. I already have a 2-part doser and a Magnesium doser, but am wondering if I'll need to test and dose Strontium, Iodine, and Trace Elements regularly or does this come from regular water changes? I use Reef Crystals salt mix. How do you all maintian this elements?

With the corals you are talking about, you don't need to dose or really even test for any of that stuff. You don't need the 2 part doser or magnesium doser.

Just curious what petco you bought a 2.5 gallon aquarium with the dollar per gallon sale? The sale is only for aquariums 10 gallons plus.

+1. This contest is about keeping things alive for the duration of the contest. You shouldn't add something in there not caring whether it lives or dies. There are other ways to cycle a tank.
