Awesome stand. Love the timers and built in outlets. GLWS!!!

. . . then check out all the nicest tanks in town and see that they run skimmers. . .
Don't forget to check how old they are.
+1. If Steve Tyree doesn't need a skimmer I don't know why anyone would.

That is really cool... I bet you could advertise and there would be a market for them.

Interesting and informative post. At Stinky's we've been asking a lot of our ARC members, staff, vendors what they use for dipping. We have gathered mix results about Coral RX. Seems like the majority of our club use Bayer and have great results. We also have Revive, but were told that is more for the healing of coral. We were looking into inceptor, but that isn't always the easiest to obtain. We want to start a process at Stinky's that we dip coral 3 times, and enter everything that is done for dipping and qt into a database for customers to view the history of the coral. Once we receive it, once when it has made it out of the QT tank, and once when it is sold. We are wanting to have a meeting at our shop to see what our customers are desiring and what we could do to ease our customers concerns about parasites. If anyone is interested please let us know.
Cool concept to view the history of each coral.

I used to have one of the Sunpods over a Biocube. I loved that light and they are getting harder to find. GLWS!!!

I see Maroon Clowns hosting Condi's all the time at Petco.

Haha. I wish that was me. I have thought about applying many times but I guess I was a little too late. I do think it would be cool to see these things in every NBA arena and NFL stadium. It would be a really cool souvenir. You could have the team logos in the background of all of the pictures.Since my last post, I started a new business and quit my tile business all together. I started a photo booth rental business where we rent photo booths for all kinds of events. From weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, to proms, graduations, and conferences. Feel free to check me out at partytimebooths.com.
PS. Might be kinda cool for an event like C4. You could have the C4 or ARC logo in the background of all of the pictures taken with the green screen.
Were you on Shark Tank?

Yea true. Im sure they do.

Hatch them from eggs and you can watch them go through life cycles. It is rewarding and they feel like your babies when they hatch. Do it in your sump and add them to the DT when you are sure they are going to eat. I have hatched a few just to do it and for my kids. Unfortunately I've had to give mine up for adoption because I have never had a tank big enough for them to live their lives in.

Depending on the species. You could easily do bamboo and banded cat sharks. You could do those with the larger tangs.

10 ft by 4 ft.
Robb and I were standing in my garage drinking a beer discussing the whole island scape with tangs earlier in the week lol
Forget tangs. Go with the sharks.

I used them once years ago because at the time, I wanted a Blackcap Basslett and they were the only place that had them in stock. I was weary from reading reviews but everything came in healthy.

Me too. That girl probably thought we were crazy, maybe we are!!! She was really nice about it though.

I'm in the skimmer isn't necessary crowd. I have been in the hobby for around 8-10 years so I am speaking on my own experience. I have many SPS and I don't have a skimmer. Haven't done a water change in about 6 months either. There are no equipment "experts" on the forums, only people with their own opinions. I tend to value posts from people like Timfish and Subsea because they are speaking from decades of first hand experience.

I have had better luck with Live Aquaria than any of the LFS.

Thanks James!!! It was nice to meet you!!!

I'm just curious why you would do a 100 gallon water change so often? Especially on a tank this size.

I own a photo booth rental company and after learning a hard lesson Monday, I need a couple of back up cameras. I am looking for a couple of new or very good condition Canon T3i's. I would also consider T2i or T3. I just thought I would check on here before I buy new and I do not trust anyone on craigslist for something this important. Please let me know if you have any and what you are wanting for them. Thanks in advance.

You think turning your little skimmer off for 2 weeks is going to cause a major disaster? I would be much more afraid of what leaving it on could do.

Turn it off. You don't need it anyway.
Complete Saltwater Setup or Close to Complete
in Want to Buy

Looking to buy a complete setup or something close to complete. Anywhere from 29 gallon to 90 gallon. Does not have to come with livestock. Would actually prefer that it didn’t.
