There's a sensor on the front that detects light, so if the cabinet is closed, they will turn off, when you expose light by opening the door, they will turn on.

There's a cheaper way if you already have lights, but want to make it auto.... http://amzn.com/B0108HJAQO wire them in parallel, so any door open closes the circuit :) I use those on 4 doors, closes a 12v circuit to a cheap LED strip: http://amzn.to/2br4f3l

I do have the ikea one as my office lighting tho, def better quality :)

The plan is to put together the rock scape separate from the main system.

It have its own reactors and skimmer.
