thanks guys! and thank god for the internet and the wealth of information that is out there - i just didn't know where to start. i would agree it's majano. any first hand experience in eliminating them? i've read of several methods.

3 head bam bam would be great. do you want 1 or 2 shrooms? heads up they spread pretty quick, so i suggest keeping them isolated. what would be an equitable trade for the 2 head acan? lastly, will you be at the mtg this sat?

here's the pic of my ato jug... attached thru the jug cap, i have PVC which at the end is a float switch (connects to my Apex) and airline tubing (intake for aqualifter)... i simply switch out new RODI jugs as needed...

i use an Aqua Lifter pump: http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/store/products/pumps-and-plumbing/dosing-pumps-and-auto-top-off-systems/aqua-lifter-vacuum-pump-top-off-pump.html the pump is outside of the jug... the intake is connected to airline tubing, which is then connected to hard airline tubing so it's opening is at the bottom of the jug. i can take a picture of my setup later today when i get home from work.

i use the typical 5gal jug found at LFS's, and use PVC to position a float valve at the bottom to stop the ATO pump from running when empty.

yeah, no luck on my searches either... Ich Cure labels states: An Effective Cure for Any External Protozoans and QuICK Cure: Fast Relief For Ick & Protozoan Parasites see if you can find on one of the forums confirming if either is good to treat your tank.
