    48" light

I have two 2-bulb 48" DIY setups (ballast, endcaps, reflectors). However, I would prefer selling both sets. I would think you would want at least 4 bulbs over your 75. Oops, I just saw its for a planted tank.
  5. hmmm... how much light is it getting? have you tried relocating it? mine have always been on the outer fringe of my sand bed.
  6. I've got a 30 lb bag you are welcome to.
  7. This weekend I was chatting with one of my wife's diving friend who had made a great suggestion to go on conservation type dives. He talked about one of his trips were they repopulated long spined urchins that had been eradicated due to disease, i believe. They collected from healthy populations at a shallower depth, then distributed them to the deeper depths were there were none now. Here's another that does collection for the New England Aquarium: http://www.neaq.org/education_and_activities/programs_and_classes/members-only_programs/bahamas_collecting_trips.php One thing he emphasized is that one could write-off these trips as being tax-deductible. Just curious if any ARC members have gone on anything like this? And if so, what kind of trip was it? Though I only have <50 dives, I've always liked "working" vacations, and think this would be a great way to spend my time.
  8. when i have my moonlights on, some of my fish still remain active, so i turn them off at midnight.
  9. wanting: Cypex ball valves (these are the great ones from BRS) 3/4 in & 1in with everything that came in the box. 3/4 locline with splitter daul return - all $10 sending pm.
  10. I would be interested. Is one needed for each the DT and the sump?
  11. I would like the $10 milli frag.
  12. Yeah, I seem to be doing that a lot lately... { now someone needs to insert an appropriate party pooper animated gif here! }
  13. Brian, I appreciate the offer! Since i'm only boosting my cuc crew etc, this order was non-essential for me, so i'll pass.
  14. could you make a guess as to how much it cost you to make the barrell? i'm debating diy vs buying the avast porthole.
  15. bio3, i'm heading out-of-town on the morning of the 27th, so go ahead and drop me from the order.
  16. Fyi, I had inquired with John@reefcleaners about shipping timeframes etc, so here's his answer: We ship Mon-Thurs. Order should be closed 2 days before if possible, so Tuesday night for a Thursday shipment.
  17. Gonna be joining your order as the later delivery date is better for me.
  18. The later delivery date for bio3's order works better for me, so I'm gonna join his order and I'm out from this one.
  19. Updating the list w/ locations and estimated $$$ amount... looks like the order is centering around NW Austin / 183... N Austin - hall1027 (work 183/Burnet) NW Austin - 10gReef(2222/620), Mitch(183/SpicewoodsSprings $20), Bio3 (183/Duval $20+), ATXJayhawk (183/Duval) Killeen - Funkness SE Austin - brian.srock ($20) Target delivery date of Fri 11/16 would mean order must be submitted by Wed 11/14, i think. We need $250 to hit free shipping. Funkness, i'm sure you are used to this, but gotta ask, are you ok coming all the way to Austin for pickup? Or maybe hall1027 can collect your's and you can pick up from RR (a little closer). All, chime in with approximate order amount if you have not done so already.
  20. (moderator hat on) i'm gonna relocate this to GB forum and edit the title accordingly (moderator hat off) brian, i can pickup for you, and you can collect from me that night. funkness, is there a certain day of the week that's better for you? we can configure the gb to target delivery for a certain day.
  21. Here's the location of the interested parties so far: Round Rock - 10gReef, hall1027 NW Austin - Mitch Killeen - Funkness SE Austin - brian.srock Since we each need to do a prompt pickup (day of delivery), it seems RR is central for all and is the appropriate location for delivery. Is Funkness and brian.srock ok with this? Are either of the 2 RR folks able to be at home and receive the delivery then distribute? If not, I live near RCA and have the flexibility to work from home to accept delivery.
  22. All, I'm here at RCA as I type this and just spoke with Jake. He is ok with the distribution of goods in the parking lot, and would ask that none be brought inside as it potentially is confusing to his staff. I think we should all applaud Jake for being the cool sponsor he is. Mitch ARC Moderator
  23. (Moderator hat off) I completely agree with the residual business that a sponsor benefits from our parking lot transactions. My understanding is that this was requested by our local LFS sponsors. I would be happy to clear it with RCA/Jake.
  24. Hey All, Sorry to be a party pooper, but as a courtesy to our ARC sponsors, let's not do our "transactions" at their place of business. I hope everyone can understand and be respectful of this. Mitch ARC Moderator
