  1. Many of you know Chris (aka o0zarkawater), but you may not all that he manages Global Printing Solutions. For the last year, Chris and GPS have handled the club's printing needs. Chris's service has been incredible whether it was printing business cards, letterhead, posters, decals or banners. They've provided great product with a fast turnaround, so I'm very happy to welcome them to ARC as a Professional Member. Here's a little bit about them: Global Printing Solutions is a small company with a big name. We are large enough to meet and exceed our clients needs and expectations, but small enough to keep the personal relationships strong with our clients. We value our relationships most and we are committed to a level of service and quality to keep them strong. We offer a wide range of services and deliver quality second to none. From commercial printing, copying, design and more, we are knowledgeable in all areas of the printing industry and can deliver cost effective solutions for any print media to meet our clients' needs. We are based in Austin, Texas and have been in the printing business, with all its myriad services for over 18 years. Whether you are an individual, small business or large corporation we can provide you with expertise needed to get the job done. We understand that selecting the right printer, designer, media and price is a big decision. Our goal is to help our clients in every step of the process. Our dedication to quality in what we produce and in our service makes Global Printing Solutions stand apart from all the rest.
  2. I'm using one of my wife's old tricks, set a deadline for your project by inviting company over. The goal is to have the LEDs up and running for the meeting at my place this month.
  3. Time for a quick update. After long consideration and planning, I've decided to use BuildMyLED fixtures on the new tank. My 90g had a 48" Odyssea fixture with (2)250w MH and (4)54w T5s. It's obviously not large enough for the 7' tank so I've spent the last 6-8 months designing and trying DIY LED fixtures with Timfish. For the cost, effort, and final product specs I just couldn't beat BML, so I spent the weekend building the tank surround to hold the (9) 2' fixtures I'm purchasing. I don't call it a canopy because it will be open-topped. The idea is to have a frame that surrounds the tank, supports the fixtures in place, and provides cable management for all power cords. Here's the surround as of yesterday. This week I'll be adding some L-channel aluminum for support and to provide a lip to rest on the top of the tank. I'll also be adding crown molding around the top to finish it off, then painting it all black. More pics as it progresses.
  4. Inadvertently deleted Richard L's post while trying to append it here, so here's the content: Found 3 pack of Super Glue Gel 0.07 oz. tubes for $1 at Dollar Tree today. I've been paying $1.97 at Home Depot for just 2 of tubes. The small tubes are great because you always have a clean nozel and you can use them underwater without worrying about saltwater getting in the tube. I also got one of those plastic grabber-tong-thingies for a dollar. It's a little over 3 feet long. We'll see how long it lasts but for a dollar it doesn't have to last that long! What other reef keeping bargains have you guys found out there?
  5. I was able to get a bleached BTA to recover by putting it with other BTAs. I believe that the bleached BTA's zooxanthellae are repopulated by what it picks up from the tank water, so other BTA's can serve as a source. Definitely target feed it weekly (very small pieces of food, not big chunks) until its color returns.
  6. I had a clown develop a similar sore a few years ago, I'm looking for the thread. It got worse in my case and I ended up having to pull the clown pair out, QT, and treat it. I did not have any issues with crossing over to other fish. Definitely keep an eye on it to see if it enlarges or shows up on the other clown. http://www.austinreefclub.com/topic/14213-clown-with-cottonmouth/?hl=formalin#entry100359
  7. A security patch temporarily altered the image. If you clear your cache and reload the page you should see the familiar red A.
  8. I'm planning to attend and have heard several other members here are going as well. Can't wait to hear Richard speak and get to take in some of the Florida beaches!
  9. Thread here for reporting issues (and should be the answer to your question).
  10. For anyone who hasn't made a visit to Don's tank, do yourself a favor and go. Outstanding corals and great price, you couldn't be dealing with a nicer guy!
  11. I believe I found the Status Update issue and that feature is fixed now. \ Still waiting on an answer from support regarding the Apple text editor issue, thanks for your patience. Received an update from support and applied it. Please clear your browser cache, retry, and let me know if the patch was successful.

    Status?

Rather than start a new thread, pushing this to the ARC Site Issues thread.
  13. BML lights are also on display at the Austin Aquadome.
  14. I can definitely see how that could be annoying. I'm submitting your picture and a bug to the forum software people, hopefully we'll have an answer soon. In the meantime I may be stating the obvious, but you can use the "Attach Files", "Choose file" button at the bottom of your screenshot to add your photos to your post. You browse, add them, then click the "Add to Post" button that will appear after they are uploaded. If the file is not local I have been able to put the url in the file location before hitting Add and have it work for me. ** To everyone else ** Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
  15. To be super-safe you can use weatherproof connectors: http://www.amazon.com/ACCEL-74812-Weatherproof-Electrical-Connector/dp/B001HQEUKC/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=1CE05T7SNFL0D&coliid=ITZF478CNV7LD
  16. Please do. When I added it was repeating, I'm sure I just hadn't set the height/width to scale properly. Sherita, another thing to try -- in the bottom left of the site you should see the words "Change Theme". Click it and pick whichever theme is not checked. Then try creating a post and see if the toolbar works for you in that theme.
  17. Link to how to clear the browser cache on various browsers and devices: http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser's-Cache
  18. The wife and I are taking a cruise to Belize City, Cozumel, and Honduras in March. Let me know any "secret" snorkel or dive spots!
  19. Working on it, the updated theme doesn't support it by default. If you had to choose between the old background with fixed colors and the ability to pick a color, which would win?
  20. The Infinite theme has been updated, please check and confirm that quoting is working properly now. There are some cool features in it in case you haven't used it before. It allows you to pick the color using the color picker in the top-right corner.
  21. Confirmed that the Infinite theme is a 3rd party add-on. I'm working to get an updated version of it, I'll post the status here when it changes.
  22. Thanks guys, that helps narrow it down a lot. My assumption is that they made a change that they accounted for in the Default skin but not in Infinite. I'm supporting a ticket for it.
  23. James, there was a known issue with cached javascript from the previous version causing this issue. There are some steps to clear it up in this thread. Please try those steps if you haven't and let me know if it resolves it for you.
  24. Absolutely. The latest version was updated last night. Are you still having issues?
