The key to success in this hobby is patience! I would never suggest doing anything to speed up a cycle. Just add the rock, sand, and water and let it set for several weeks while you test the water. You will probably get a small cycle but you will still get a cycle even using fully cured LR. Just set it up and wait it out until you test out at 0.

So I had one very large weird looking anemone that I thought was aiptaisa but after looking at some pics I think it probably is a mojano. After looking at my tank it looks like I have 15-20 of these popping up everywhere. I already bought some aptaisa-x but I dont know if it will work on the mojano anemones as well.

I just setup the dual switch version on my 24g and could not be happier with it. I think it was like $70 for the switch, pump, and enough tubing to get it all plumbed. Works like a champ!

LOL you sure you dont want a 90 I actually googled it and found some articles about aquariums being soothing to newborns and showed them to the wife. Now she thinks it was her idea to put it in there!

I got my 24g in january and I am already itching for a bigger tank. I think I just convinced my wife to let me put the 24g in the nursery when we get that going. If I move the 24g I will be getting a 72 bowfront or a 90g to replace it with.

I never knew how true the skimmer deal was. I have never been real happy with my skimmer until I just added the ATO system. I cannot believe how much better the skimmer operates now!

I have been to the aquarium in Atlanta over thanksgiving weekend last year and I must say it was unreal! It is the reason I started my tank. I got home from Georgia did some research and started a tank in January The whale sharks in atlanta are simply amazing to watch.

I just got my ATO unit from autotopoff.com and couldnt be happier with how easy it went together. Now I need something to store the water and pump in. This is just for a 24g aquapod but the only problem is the stand is the very small pedestal stand so it cant go inside the stand and the tank is in the living room so it needs to look decent. Anyone have any ideas? For now I just heated the neck of a 5 gallon water container so I could stretch it and put the pump in the container.

What are the dimensions of the tank? Also who made the tank and are there any scratches?

I just went to a 250w MH over my 24gallon and I couldnt be happier. I put the light about 8" over the water and just mounted a small fan to blow across the water. With the fan on my temp stays perfectly stable even with the light on. So you do not absolutely need a chiller in all cases.

I just got home with my new Bluespot jawfish from RCA. I was looking for one last week and jake got me one in less than a week! Thanks!! Hope this one avoids all of the BSJ problems that I have been reading about.

River city gets my vote and my money I have found that the staff at river city has been the most helpful in getting me up and running on my first tank. Aqua tek is a nice place but I never can seem to get any help when I go in there. -
