  1. Do you have pic's under normal lighting without so much blue? Cheers,
  2. Wavebox's are not intended for flow. My nano worked exceptionally well on my 130G with a much smaller footprint. An inch wave should be sufficent in any tank. I will say it takes a bit longer to find the sweet spot, I actually use my Apex to control the wavebox and it was actually easier to find the wave than when using the tunze controller. YMMV Cheers,
  3. Strive to know your water chemistry, it aid's the tank in many way's.....maintaining stability is pretty much the main reason. Know your tank and it's inhabitant's, your coral's will tell you what is missing......you will learn that your pulsing xenia not pulsing usually tell's you your alk is low..... monti cap lighten's up....check mag etc. You should alway's know what your tank is consuming on a weekly basis(which breaks down to daily consumption), as far as alk,ca and mag are concerned. It doesn't matter what you keep, just try to provide as closely as possible, the same environment that your coral's live at, in nature. Cheers,
  4. Led's all wired up except for more green's, turned 6 of those into a pricely flash bulb while testing...whoops. The black wiring doesn't stand out as much against the black anodized heatsink, still looking for my last driver, can't find it anywhere but doing 8 different light zones takes a lot of patience, which I don't have a lot of hence the sporadic period's I can work on this. Pretty crazy how some of the led placements worked out for good coverage.
  5. I'm getting ready to fire up my nano WB on my 150G cube soon. Just gotta get the Apex back up and running first, will be working on that tomorrow actually and I'll let you know how it goes. Cheers,

    Corals

Hi, Whats the size of the Atl elusive metallic acro frag? Cheers,
  7. Thanks, You should grow this one out at the farm.(Orange Leptoseris) Cheers,
  8. It's generally not so good to run GAC and GFO together as doing so is very inefficient. The GAC should not have so much flow that it tumbles, that creates a ton of dust and the hi gher flow greatly reduces the contact time. GAC is also pretty much extinguished in days/hours where the GFO can last a couple of month's so you want the ability to change these out seperately. Standard practice is to have the GFO lightly tumble and then feed into GAC so that any fines created will be captured by the GAC and not irritate coral's. Since this relates to phosphates in the tank, Randy Holmes-Farley just released a very good updated write-up on this a few months back. http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2012/3/chemistry Cheers,
  9. No trades except for hi-end zoas, hi-end palys or hi-end sps/lps.
  10. I also mounted the doser, got the lines all neatly routed but that was after this pic was taken. Cheers,
  11. Update time, still looking for someone to build a faux skin around the steel stand. Here's a few pic's from the cube.
  12. I can get a few item's and also get that frag to you at the same time. Cheers,
  13. It's a automatic skimmer neck cleaner. It's made by avast and can be cusom made for your skimmer cup which may require you to send them your skimmer cup cover. You can also save $50 on their already low price by ordering a kit that you put together yourself. I'm not sure about hot linking here so just google it. Cheers,
  14. Hey James, Have the manifold for a chiller, the carbon reactor as well as any other reactors etc., that I may or may not need. Cheers,
  15. Nice and clean tank...pretty awesome. Cheers,

    The cube

Dude...that temple is cooler than kool-aid. Is it bigger than the last one? Cheers,
  17. Yeah I know what you mean about "schedule". I chose not to drive up to Dallas this week, so I have 4 whole day's of just working on the cube I reworked my plumbing, relocating the manifold so that it is in a higher profile area. Also got the carbon online finally with the TLF 550 reactor.
  18. Finally got a few pic's with the tank on the stand. A really nice setup for sure from DAP. DAP = Dallas Aquarium and Pond which was started by a former owner of Oceanic so you know this is a solid, well built tank. If you are looking for a cheap petco quality tank then this ain't it. Cheers,
  19. I'll take it, may take me a week to remove it tho'. Cheers,
