  1. man wish i could buy this glws if you dont mind me asking why are you selling it? Selling it due to my life "situation" changing for the most part, coupled with my hectic work schedule, I'm not even thinking about setting up this tank in my apartment. I'm almost finished setting up a 150G cube, which is probably too big to be in here but.....it looks awesome. Cheers,
  2. I have a brand new DAP 60G Rimless RR Tank and custom stand for sale. Tank has never seen water, dimensions are approximately 36" wide by 20" tall and 20" deep. It's on a taller than normal awesome black hardwood stand. Tank and stand are still in my SUV so will get pic's once I have help unloading it to my apartment. $575 or best reasonable offer Cheers,
  3. I have the temp PAR 38 bulb's over the tank so moved a couple of coral's over for a couple of day's and monitored for their reaction. After everything looked good, I moved over a few more item's. My aussie crown leather is still not happy yet but it usually takes about a week or so for it to get used to any changes. Still will be playing around with the aquascape, I relocated some pieces of LR to the sump as I have 2 more pieces of LR to transfer from the 90G temp tank thats running in Wylie. http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk3/bimmerzs/_DSC5343.jpg[/img
  4. Almost got my aquascaping down. Plumbing finally pretty much finished, a few things to finish out. I'm filling the overflows with ro/di right now so I can check for leaks....looking good so far then will pull the durso, let it drain and and mix with the water I'm mixing down there. Front: Side:
  5. I have a LED setup I'm working on (really need to get that done), rechecked my led stock and I have cool whites, neutral whites, warm white, blue, royal blue, green, violet, deep red and turquoise so far. I plan on having a "full" spectrum available and have plan's to add a couple of the coral plus t5's if necessary. Coral's utilizes light from the 400nm to 700nm wavelength's, using blue and white led's only, cut's out a lot of needed spectrum's that coral's require which is why you see the more exotic color's being integrated in the newer fixture such as the maxspect's, radion's etc. I'm going to utilize some track lighting in my apartment for temporary lighting so I picked up a couple of deep penetrating PAR38 bulb's so I can at least get light on the tank and start moving coral's over. I have one each of the white and blue/white PAR38 bulb's. I really need to finish my LED build. Cheers,

  7. Got water. I think it's level enough. Cheers,
  8. Eye candy that will be going in there. [smilie=smile.gif] Cheers,
  9. Here's the tank before a lil' clean-up. Cheers,
  10. And here's the new stand, it seperates in order to get it thru the apartment door as does the original stand. Dim's are 36"x36"x 38"
  11. Here's the original stand I had made but it was made with 1" steel tubing and 1" angle iron for the base. I was worried that it would not hold the weight and since I had it made by someone near Wylie, the logistic's of bringing it back up from Austin and coordinating a quick turn-around was not gonna happen so I found someone in Austin that build me another stand. I may have over-reacted as the original stand seems pretty dang sturdy but oh well. Cheers,
  12. Picked up a year old Marineland Deep Dimensions 150G cube(36"x36"x27") from a fellow ARC member. This will be in my apartment down here and I will be transfering content's from the temp 90G I have at my house in Wylie, I really need the 90G moved so I can get everything repaired from the 130G leak last year. I have had a ~80G holding "tank" setup for 5 months already and already have quite a bit of stuff down here already. I seasoned the water in the cube with waterchange water from the holding tank, as well as from the temp 90G. I slowly transitioned the main LR pieces from the 90G over the last 2 months and then used some Dr. Tim's bacteria. This build did not break any record's as my schedule has been very hectic, but I have it going so this is actually a reverse build thread I guess. Wish me luck! Cheers,
  13. Cool stuff....nature at it's best. Cheers,

  15. If this does work, I would think it would be more geared towards administering in a QT setup. Up to this point it was a fact that any effective treatment against this parasite, would also kills inverts, that is why it was difficult to create a reef safe ich treatment. I would be willing to go out on a limb and say that most times when someone experiences ich subsiding in a tank using one of these product's, it's more due to the fish's immune system, and not the herb based concoction that is being dosed daily. The best way to prevent ich from entering your DT is by QT'ing all new fish arrival's, There are many thread's on the life cycle of ich, as well as the proven method's and procedure's to follow for getting rid of ich.....once the parasite is actually eradicated from your DT, it will make it come back, so no matter how cold or hot the water gets or how much a fish, it will not get ich simply because it's not in there. There is a lot of data already that point's to this product not being 100% effective so it may be a good idea to actually test the product yourself to make sure you get repeatable result's with using this product. A question on the bacterial medication, it is gram positive or negative and how would this not affect your bio-filter if you put it in your tank?? Cheers,

    The cube

Hey buddy, Looking good so far, I'm in need of some stand building myself for my 36x36x27 cube. Cheers,
  20. Sound's like the solder isn't adhering to the pad's of the led's. This can happens if you do not use flux when pre-tinning the pad's with solder, or the soldering iron doesn't the watts necessary to properly melt the solder. Flux is often overlooked and oxidation on the wire or led pad surfaces will prevent solder from adhering properly. hth Cheers,
  21. I rotate between 5 filter socks and try to change them out at least once a week or sooner if I'm home. Cheers,
