i figured we would have more people with bad units: this was the reply from icecap, so with 5 units I doubt they will give us much break: we could work something out but I would prefer only 1 person send the entire bunch in and provide payment. With say 20 ballasts, we could manage somewhere in the area of $40 - 50 parts and labor per ballast as long as it is repairable. If not we have to charge $85 for a brand new circuit board which makes it a new ballast just reusing the same case. You would have to keep track of each persons ballast by serial number so you know who's ballast has a charge or not and if any are not repairable. For a large lot the turn around may be a couple weeks.

I was curious to know how many of you have broken icecap ballasts? Please post how many and what model it is, and I'll total it up. I'm trying to see if icecap will do a "group fix". If one of you would post this same request on Maast, i would appreciate it, I can't post on there since I havnt done the obligatory 100 posts yet. just post once on either site and I'll count them up. All, I'm really itching for a powder blue or a purple tang and I'm open to a group buy from just about any site if the price is good. The stinky part is the shipping, so its not cost effective to buy just one fish alone. if anyone has one of these, I'd like to look at it. A guy on Craigsist had a powder blue, but his health was questionable.

I switched to an outer orbit fixture and took off this canopy. It has (6) 48 inch T5 lights. the front (4) of them are wired to connect to an Icecap 660 ballast, and the rear 2 are wired connected to a workhorse 5 ballast. there are 2 giesemann aquablue plus, 2 ATI actinics, 1 ATI Procolor (redish tint) and 1 non brand white colored bulb. There are 6 reflectors that snap onto the bulbs themselves, but they have had salt on them so they are somewhat blemished. The Icecap ballast burned out recently, but it can be repaired by icecap, and I have 2 of them that will go with the canopy. This canopy is the standard oak canopy that comes with the Oceanic 90 gallon tanks, approximately 48Lx18Wx24T. I would like to get 250 for it, but I open to reasonable offers as well.

I was at Seaworld Orlando and saw this tank. It has an opeing in the bottom that you crawl into and they take your picture. I blurred out the lady's face since I dont know her.
