  1. I'm looking for a maxijet 1200 impeller, prefer a new one, but open to used ones. Rey
  2. ok, here's mine. Funny story with this flame hawk. He disappeared for a few weeks, thought he was dead. Turns out he had jumped into the overflow area of my 90g Oceanic. Eventually, we bought a spotted reef hawk, and one day while inspecting the bottom of the tank with a flashlight, he popped into view at the bottom of the overflow area, scared me to death! I've had him for a couple of years now. I didnt mean to take this picture for the pic of the month, it sorta just happened, so thats why the color is not all that. Its exactly like I took it.
  3. I have a whole bunch of mushrooms, they are somewhat reddish, but close to Longhorn orange. Depends on the lighting. Big question, how do remove them from the rock without killing them to sell? Secondary question, how much can I ask for them? A couple of these are literally 4 inches across, like image008, the fish is in front of the one that is 4 inches across. As you can see from the other pics, there are alot.
  4. its a dicfer, very rare...
  5. naw, not saying that, its just that I always drop stuff behind the rocks, especially when I dont want to, then its a pain to get it out of there. Thats how I got my VERY pale light green ricordea
  6. as long as you can get behind it WHEN you drop something back there.
  7. yeah, his response is what I have recvd from them many times, 65 if they replace parts and 85 if they replace the entire circuit board. Seems that they really do repair these (or someone does it for them). Either way its a 1 yr warranty rather than the 3yr for a new ballast. I was hoping he would do better than 40-50 bucks each, but if they have to replace the board, it doesnt matter if its a group fix or not i guess.
  8. they have a date stamp on the bottom, if its under 3yrs old, its covered
  9. i figured we would have more people with bad units: this was the reply from icecap, so with 5 units I doubt they will give us much break: we could work something out but I would prefer only 1 person send the entire bunch in and provide payment. With say 20 ballasts, we could manage somewhere in the area of $40 - 50 parts and labor per ballast as long as it is repairable. If not we have to charge $85 for a brand new circuit board which makes it a new ballast just reusing the same case. You would have to keep track of each persons ballast by serial number so you know who's ballast has a charge or not and if any are not repairable. For a large lot the turn around may be a couple weeks.
  10. probably more than you could ever hope to read: http://saltaquarium.about.com/od/planasystem/ig/Guide-Charts--Tables--Diagrams/Comparison-Table-of-Primary-El.htm and http://saltaquarium.about.com/gi/o.htm?zi=1/XJ&zTi=1&sdn=saltaquarium&cdn=homegarden&tm=8&gps=361_459_1276_832&f=00&tt=33&bt=0&bts=1&zu=http%3A//web.archive.org/web/20010303215133/www.animalnetwork.com/fish2/aqfm/1999/mar/features/1/default.asp
  11. JohnG said he had a site that would be very good reading about the various salts, I'll ping him.
  12. icecap said yes, so now its a matter of how many need fixing, please post here.
  13. I was curious to know how many of you have broken icecap ballasts? Please post how many and what model it is, and I'll total it up. I'm trying to see if icecap will do a "group fix". If one of you would post this same request on Maast, i would appreciate it, I can't post on there since I havnt done the obligatory 100 posts yet. just post once on either site and I'll count them up. Rey
  14. well, I wish I could say 5pm, but we usually end up leaving here at about 5:30ish. if thats bad, I could do this weekend as well pretty much anytime..
  15. Sounds good, I would like them for sure. I can come by on the way home, I still remember where you are
  16. All, I'm really itching for a powder blue or a purple tang and I'm open to a group buy from just about any site if the price is good. The stinky part is the shipping, so its not cost effective to buy just one fish alone. if anyone has one of these, I'd like to look at it. A guy on Craigsist had a powder blue, but his health was questionable.
  17. well then, that leaves one for me, I'd like one as well. I can meet whenever and wherever. Rey
  18. That's true he did say that. Sorry Mark!
  19. Mark, did you decide to stay in the hobby?
  20. Hi John, the corals I got from you are looking great! Especially the Meridiana and the Green slimer! I ordered a frag rack like yours as well, 15 bucks and free shipping! http://www.blackrock...products-2.html
